How old can the baby take out for a trip?

Infants and young children are vulnerable to external stimuli and injuries because of their fragile physiological functions, especially children's immunity and resistance are very weak, and they have almost no self-care ability. Going out for a trip still needs to be tested, so how old can the baby take it out for a trip?

I am a person who likes to travel with my family, especially with children. My daughter started to travel long distances with me by car when she was about 2 years old. When my son (Yuanbao) was seven months old, I drove from Guangdong to Yunnan for the Spring Festival with my family of four, and went to Kunming, Dali, Ruili, Tengchong, Lijiang and Shangri-La. The journey is more than 5,000 kilometers and lasts for half a month.

In this process, I have never felt any problem with taking the children out. So, as a parent, what are your concerns about taking your baby on a trip?

Generally speaking, there are several concerns.

1. Children are too young to travel. What can they understand? Go to the scenic spot, go to the museum, go to the scenic spot. After many years, do children still remember this journey?

Second, can children stand the fatigue of the journey and get sick easily?

Third, it costs a lot of money to take one more child to travel.

Fourth, during the journey, children are prone to fatigue and hunger, which affects their playing mood. Parents are easily tired and their mood deteriorates.

Traveling with children may lead to disputes on the itinerary.

Sixth, children have to bring a lot of things, especially young children, which increases the burden of bookkeeping.

Based on such concerns, many parents always want to wait until their children are older before considering taking them out for a trip.

Actually, that's not necessary

The growth of children is to learn by observing and experiencing different environments.

No matter how old children are, they perceive the world through their own observation, touch, hearing, smell and taste, and learn knowledge, cognitive patterns and rules. Whether you take your children at home all day, in the community or traveling around, children will learn in their own way. For children, travel is just to get in touch with new things in different environments, and there is no difference in essence.

For older children, travel does have the opportunity to broaden their horizons, but it also depends on parents' communication, learning and exploration with their children during the trip. If they just go out to have a look, this kind of vision also lacks connotation.

The child's endurance is stronger than we thought.

Traveling abroad is nothing more than fatigue, accommodation, catering and other problems. We are always worried that children will not get used to it, can't stand it, get sick and have all kinds of worries, but in fact, from my own experience of parent-child travel in recent years, this kind of worry is basically unnecessary. Although the problem of motion sickness and indigestion will occur, the child's adaptability and endurance are relatively strong.

Before the daughter is 2 years old, as long as she drinks milk in the car, nine times out of ten she will spit milk. After repeated training, she completely adapted to the long-distance ride. When she was 6 or 7 years old, she ran thousands of kilometers with me to Yunnan, Tibet and Qinghai. All kinds of winding roads didn't make her children carsick, so she was still in high spirits.

Now Yuanbao has a similar situation. Drinking water or milk by car is also easy to spit milk, but it is getting used to it.

You don't have to travel with the purpose of making children remember the scenery. Children have their world in their eyes.

This is a problem that most people are struggling with. They always think that children are too young to remember anything when they go out to play, which wastes money. It's best to wait until the child is older. In my opinion, there is really no need to deliberately consider this issue. The meaning of traveling is not to see a lot of scenery, but to experience and feel different environments, cultures and lives.

Trust children, they will remember every valuable trip in their own way.

Travel should be an attitude towards life.

For many people, they always like to regard travel as a luxury and extravagant behavior, paying too much attention to the design of the journey, the choice of destination, the value of scenic spots and the price of tickets, and how much you can gain from a trip. In fact, this mentality can easily bring people a sense of loss and fatigue.

In my opinion, travel is a way of life and an attitude towards life. You should like the feeling of being on the road, exploring people and things in strange places, listening to other people's history and stories, integrating yourself into the people and life at the destination, feeling beautiful, feeling the rhythm of life and the breath of humanity.

If it is difficult to do this, traveling will be very hard, especially with children.

Traveling with children is an experience.

Traveling with children will inevitably encounter all kinds of difficulties, obstacles and problems. Parents and children need to learn to exercise their coping ability through such experiences. All kinds of situations can happen, such as flight delays, missed high-speed trains, hotels without rooms, closed scenic spots, no place to eat, and missing children. At this time, it is a valuable gain for children to go through this process with you, seek solutions, overcome difficulties and accept reality.

This practical learning method is often more effective than textbook education. In the process of traveling, teaching children to master self-care ability, common sense of life, travel knowledge and safety protection knowledge will often make children remember more deeply and use it more freely while learning.

And this kind of experience, the sooner the better.
