Where is Zhangzhou West Lake?

Zhangzhou West Lake is located in the old city of Zhangzhou.

Zhangzhou West Lake Ecological Park covers an area of nearly 5 square kilometers and is an important part of the central city of Zhangzhou. The construction of this area can promote the development of the central city from point to area, from pure residential development to comprehensive development, and form a dynamic area integrating cultural education, smart business, global tourism, high-end communities and modern services in the western part of the city.

Relying on the original topography, the West Lake water body will retain a number of hills, forming a variety of water landscapes such as long lakes, winding river sections and waterfalls, greatly increasing the coastline around the water body. After completion, the coastline of the West Lake will be about 2 1km, which is 10 times that of the same area surrounding the lake, and will provide more places for citizens to get close to the lakeshore.

In the West Lake area, it is planned to preserve 12 cultural relics, protect 19 ancestral halls, ancient houses and other old buildings and sites, restore historical scenes such as "ancient docks", protect these original traditional buildings as much as possible, and run through the whole community.

In terms of cultural facilities, some public cultural, sports and leisure projects such as Minnan Traditional Cultural Center, Zhangzhou Narcissus Art Center, Ant Art Workshop, West Lake Painting Academy, West Lake Sports Center and three-dimensional arcade shopping street have been specially planted. In the main lake area of West Lake, a series of landscape performance space of "Zhangzhou One Play" was arranged.
