Can I enter the Potala Palace wearing a skirt?

Girls cannot wear too bright clothes, let alone skirts, and must take off their sunglasses and hats when entering temples. Photography can only be taken outside the temple. It is best not to take pictures of lamas and Buddhas enshrined in the main hall with mobile phones or cameras. Once discovered, they will be confiscated.

The Potala Palace (Tibetan: ?) is located on Maburi Mountain in the northwest of Lhasa, the capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China.
