The San Diego-coronado Bridge is a sea-crossing bridge in the United States.

This bridge is located in San Diego on the west coast of the United States, near the Mexican border at the southern tip of California. The bridge spans San Diego Bay, connecting the city of San Diego and Colorado Island, with a length of 2. 12 miles. Highway 75 crosses the bridge and meets Interstate 5 in San Diego. The clearance of 200 feet in the center of the bridge is enough for the tallest ship to pass.

The bridge cost 50 million dollars. Construction started on February 1967 and was completed and opened to traffic on August 3 1969. After that, it quickly became a local landmark. Because of its unique tower and graceful curve, the bridge won the 1970 Excellence Award of American Steel Structure Society.
