Growth history

Grow up freely, with a high literary spirit

Guo Jingming was born in Zigong, Sichuan Province City. His mother, Zou Huilan, is a staff member of a local bank, and his father, Guo Jianwei, works in a state-owned enterprise.

Guo Jingming was very sensible and loved reading when he was a child. In response to his interest in reading, his mother, Zou Huilan, often bought some educational children's books for Guo Jingming, and sometimes gave her son detailed guidance and explanations in person. Every time his mother explained it, Guo Jingming listened very carefully and kept asking questions. Zou Huilan took the trouble to explain to his son.

Guo Jingming has a very good memory. He can recite some stories once his mother tells them to him. Guo Jingming is also brave in front of strangers and is never shy. Whenever uncles and aunts come to play at home, he just wants to Asked him to tell a story, Guo Jingming started telling it with great joy and looked very cute. Guo Jingming's intelligence and studiousness made the whole family very happy, but his parents never deliberately cultivated him to become a talent in the future. Instead, they always gave Guo Jingming a free space to study and live, allowing him to learn freely and freely. Gradually grow up in interest and give full play to yourself, because mother Zou Huilan knows: "Interest is the best teacher for children's success." Especially after Guo Jingming became sensible, his parents let him choose. Take buying books for example. They no longer took the initiative to choose something for Guo Jingming. Every time they took Guo Jingming to Xinhua Bookstore, he would choose what Guo Jingming liked. Whatever he bought, Guo Jingming would read them all in one sitting every time he bought books. Even when his parents asked him to eat, he would not put down his books.

In September 1988, Guo Jingming went to Xiangyang Primary School in Gongjing District, Zigong City. At this time, like other children, he arrived at school on time and completed the homework assigned by the teacher. However, this child After studying in the classroom, he especially likes to read extracurricular books. After reading, he also writes some insights and reflections after reading. Although it is very short and immature, his good study habits are highly praised by teachers and parents.

Due to a lot of reading, Guo Jingming's writing skills are quietly improving. When primary school students are writing compositions, his advantages are highlighted. Every time the teacher assigns a class composition, other His classmates always racked their brains for a long time and couldn't write it, but he only needed 2 minutes to think about it and quickly entered the role. He writes articles very quickly and well, and is often used by Chinese teachers as model essays for his classmates. The teacher's appreciation and education again and again brought greater encouragement and impetus to Guo Jingming's learning as a child.

In 1995, Guo Jingming was admitted to Zigong No. 9 Middle School with very poor results. From elementary school to junior high school, Guo Jingming's horizons broadened. He began to read extensively novels and prose by famous writers, including Jin Yong, Liang Hanyu's martial arts novels, especially Gu Long's martial arts novels, he loved without hesitation. At the same time, he also liked to read some magazines and newspapers.

Despite this, when their son Guo Jingming read martial arts novels after class, his parents, Zou Huilan and Guo Jianwei, never intervened or stopped him. They believed that it was a useful way for children to relax after studying, which not only regulated themselves but also increased their knowledge.

In 1997, when he was in the second grade of junior high school, Guo Jingming published his maiden poem "Loneliness" in the national public magazine "Life Sixteen Seventeen". This poem is melancholy and poignant. Soon, he received a 10 yuan manuscript fee and a sample issue from the magazine. At that time, Guo Jingming was extremely happy. When his parents found out about this, they also praised their son and encouraged him to continue working hard. The parents believe that although the manuscript fee of 10 yuan is not much, the value and benefits it brings to their son Guo Jingming far exceed its own value, because it is the result of more than ten years of hard work and sweat of the son.

Guo Jingming’s creative passion increased sharply when his work was put into print for the first time and was recognized by society. From then on, in addition to writing some free articles, he also participated in some national composition competitions for middle school students. Because of his solid skills, the articles he wrote were often published, making his classmates envious. Guo Jingming used the royalties he earned to buy himself classroom learning materials and his favorite literary books. Sometimes he also bought Coke to drink; at other times, he would use it to donate to needy classmates in his class. Guo Jingming told reporters that he is an only child. He has no older brothers or sisters to play with him at home, and he can't find anyone of the same age to communicate with him, so he especially cherishes the relationship between classmates and friends.

After entering high school, study time became tighter, but Guo Jingming did not give up his hobby of reading and writing. He kept a diary every day and arranged his time reasonably: first, he must ensure classroom learning, and second, he must never think about writing when studying. Write without thinking about learning. Because of this arrangement, writing and studying do not interfere with each other, and the results are very good. When the reporter interviewed Guo Jingming's high school teacher Deng Youli, Teacher Deng said that in middle school, Guo Jingming was very smart and self-controlled, so the teachers at school basically had no restrictions or control on him. Not only that, one of Guo Jingming's inventions also won the first prize in the Sichuan Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition, and one of his investigation reports also won the first prize in the Zigong City Biological Environment Investigation Report Competition; his writing is even better. Guo Jingming, a sophomore in high school, In his senior year of high school, he won the first prize in the third and fourth "New Concept Composition Competition" in a row.

First show of talent, unlimited scenery

When talking about the "New Concept Essay Contest", Guo Jingming was filled with emotion, and it was still fresh in his memory, because it was a turning point in his life.

It was the winter of 2000. Guo Jingming was reading the magazine "Grudge" in his spare time of intense study, and found that he could write the articles published in the magazine, and he might even write better. It happened that "Grudge" 》 magazine published a notice for the third "New Concept Essay Contest". With confidence, Guo Jingming completed the article titled "Script" in half an hour, and then sent it to Shanghai to participate in the preliminary competition. One month later, Guo Jingming received a notice from the magazine inviting him to Shanghai to participate in the finals. Zigong is thousands of kilometers away from Shanghai, and it takes two days to take the train. My studies are very tight, so should I give up? I felt a little pity, so I called home to tell my parents. When his parents learned about this, they strongly encouraged their son to fly to attend. Although the family's financial situation was not very good at the time, in their minds, their son's trip would cost the couple thousands of dollars in savings they had saved over the years. , but they think it’s worth it! Because this is a perfect opportunity for my son to show off his abilities, and others can’t even go if they want to! What's more important is that their parents will never accompany their son on this trip. They hope that their son will develop the ability to live independently during this trip and at the same time give him a space to live freely. After all, in In the future society, a child's ability to live independently will be directly related to whether he can find a good foothold in the future.

In January 2001, Guo Jingming asked for leave from school and flew directly to Shanghai alone without his parents. Shanghai is an international metropolis with criss-crossing streets and alleys. When he arrived in Shanghai, he first found a place to stay, and the next day he went around to find out where to compete. In the finals, top players from all over the country gathered here, but Guo Jingming took on the challenge calmly and calmly. In the end, he won the first prize in the competition with his article "If there is no sun tomorrow". But this award is more of a spiritual encouragement. During the interview, Guo Jingming told reporters that at that time he only won one medal and not a single penny. Despite this, Guo Jingming still feels sweet in his heart, because the "New Concept Essay Contest" is quite famous in the country. It is jointly organized by 10 famous universities across the country, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Beijing Normal University, and the "Sprouting" magazine. It is co-sponsored by *** and the judges are also domestic first-class writers and well-known scholars. It is recognized in China as the "Contradictory Literature Award" among middle school students. This time I can show off in this authoritative competition, it should be A great honor.

Because of this, even though the study time was very tight in the senior year of high school, Guo Jingming participated in the 4th "New Concept Composition Competition" in 2002. More than 40,000 people participated in this competition, and entered There were only 200 people in the semi-finals, but he still beat the crowd and won the prize, and won first prize in both the preliminary round and the final.

This surprised the experts and professors who served as judges because this top-notch composition competition for middle school students in the country has been held for many years. There are too few people who can win the first prize twice in a row. Currently, there are only two people in the country. Guo Jingming is One of them, from this, Guo Jingming became famous.

Behind "Fantasy City", there is a long-lasting love

What really made Guo Jingming famous was "Fantasy City". In order to release himself, he found Feeling free and relaxed, he imagined something to write and wrote something to relieve the boredom in his heart. It was under this situation that "Fantasy City" was born, but it only took him one hour to conceive "Fantasy City". Because the writing was flowing so fast, he started writing at 20:00 after dinner that night and continued writing until 22:00. In just two hours, he completed the full text, about 20,000 words. When he finished writing, he felt more relaxed and excited than ever before, but he was not in a hurry to print out the article. Instead, store it away and devote yourself to the intense review for the college entrance examination.

In mid-August 2002, Guo Jingming received the admission notice from Shanghai University. He could be relieved. At the end of August, he remembered the novel "Fantasy City" he wrote four months ago, so he dug out the manuscript, printed it, and emailed it to "Grudge" magazine. Within a few days, the editor of the magazine informed Guo Jingming, Informed that the novel is planned to be released in issue 10, 2002. All the results surprised Guo Jingming. What he didn't expect was that his "Fantasy City" would be on the front page of the 10th issue of "Sprouting"; within a few days of the release of "HuanCheng", "Sprouting" magazine and he received many hotlines and letters from readers. , the website was flooded with posts about him and Hot Talk about "Fantasy City". He hoped that Guo Jingming would cooperate with them. Guo Jingming would change the short story of "Fantasy City" into a full-length novel with a creative deadline of one month. Guo Jingming did not refuse. He believes that this is actually the best test of his ability and power.

Due to the tight study time during the day, he had to squeeze in time at night. During the days when he was writing the long novel "Fantasy City", Guo Jingming often stayed up until dawn. He said that he did not dare to be careless, facing the readers' eyes, in This month, Guo Jingming lost nearly 5 pounds. At the Beijing book ordering fair, it ranked among the top three sales lists of literature, art and social science books. In just a few months, 500,000 copies were published. Some readers Unable to buy the book, I actually borrowed it and copied it by hand. The expanded content of the work received rave reviews. One young reader said: “Siwei (Guo Jingming)’s writing is beautiful and ethereal, with a beautiful and quiet amber color. His brushwork is like flowing clouds and flowing water, with beautiful paintings of mirrors, flowers, water and moon, and his articles are clear and ethereal, with the power to move people's hearts..." Some readers also suggested that "Fantasy City" should be continued, made into a TV series, published as a comic book, etc. At the same time, it has also aroused great repercussions among literary seniors and many experts. Ye Xin, vice chairman of the Chinese Writers Association: ""Fantasy City" is a new writing style and deserves recognition." Professor and doctoral supervisor of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, Peking University Cao Wenxuan: ""Fantasy City" uses a noble and solemn tone, without any glibness." Wang Hongtu, professor of the Chinese Department of Fudan University: ""Fantasy City" is indeed a work of genius." Faced with the sincere praise and high hopes of many readers and literary predecessors, Guo Jingming was extremely moved and proud.

On March 27, 2003, Guo Jingming ushered in the "Fantasy City" work seminar specially organized for him at Shanghai University. Attending the meeting were Ye Xin, vice chairman of the Chinese Writers Association, and vice chairman of the Shanghai Writers Association. Chairman Zhao Changtian, famous writer Ge Hongbing, etc. This is the first time in China that such a seminar is held for the work of an unknown college student. What's more, at this time, he was bought out by Chunfeng Literature and Art Publishing House for the right to publish the works he created while in college. It is rare in China today for a student who is not yet 20 years old to be worth millions in the literary world. In November 2003, Guo Jingming continued his efforts and launched his second novel "How Many Flowers Fall in Dreams", which became a hot seller after its release, with a circulation of more than 900,000 copies. It was so popular that at a young age he became an impressive and out-and-out student millionaire and a "genius" young writer.

Jingming’s impression, fashion edge

Guo Jingming has gained both fame and fortune, and more and more people invite him to participate in events, but Guo Jingming never thinks of himself as a celebrity. He thinks that he is still an ordinary person. For an ordinary student, the main task is to study. Therefore, he will finish his studies first, and then his writing and activities. If he is really too busy with his studies, he will put down the activities without hesitation. In his heart, study always comes first.

Guo Jingming is very fashionable in life. He likes to play badminton, listen to CDs, and travel. His clothes are also quite unusual, but he must feel very comfortable. In life, Guo Jingming is a very filial child. He makes money from his writing, but he will buy clothes, nutritional supplements and other things for his parents and grandparents from time to time. During the Chinese New Year, he would call the whole family and let them choose the clothes they liked, and then pay for them himself. Guo Jingming's virgin poem "Loneliness"

It rained heavily for two days and two nights

It's still raining

No intention of stopping yet

Through the window

We seem

living in a water curtain cave

Reminds me One Hundred Years of Solitude

The heavy rain that fell for several years

The humid room

Moss growing on the body

Schools of fish Swimming up to the roof

On such a rainy day

We held umbrellas

Walking on the street

Stepping on the standing water

Plagiarism Incident

Plagiarism Incident:

Chinese Court NetNews reporters learned today from the Beijing No. 1 Intermediate People's Court that the controversial copyright infringement dispute case between Zhuang Yu and Guo Jingming has finally been settled after nearly three years. Guo Jingming was forced by the court to publicly apologize. It is understood that Zhuang Yu applied to the Beijing No. 1 Intermediate People's Court for enforcement because Guo Jingming had not publicly apologized. After several executions by the No. 1 Intermediate People's Court judge, Guo Jingming still did not apologize publicly. Based on the effective judgment, the No. 1 Intermediate People's Court published an announcement of about 1,000 words in the China Youth Daily, which published the main content of Guo Jingming's infringement case and the main text of the judgment.

Zhuang Yu and Guo Jingming are both well-known young writers in China. Zhuang Yu is the author of "Inside and Outside the Circle" and Guo Jingming is the author of "How Many Flowers Fall in Dreams", both of which describe the emotions between young men and women. A tangled novel. Zhuang Yu cited Guo Jingming, the author of "How Many Flowers Fall in Dreams" and the publisher, on the grounds that the book "How Many Flowers Fall in Dreams" plagiarized "In and Outside the Circle" in terms of plot, character characteristics, language style, etc. The publisher, Chunfeng Literature and Art Publishing House, and the seller, Beijing Book Building, sued the court. On December 3, 2004, the Beijing No. 1 Intermediate People's Court made a first-instance judgment, finding that Guo Jingming's "How Many Flowers Fall in Dreams" had infringed Zhuang Yu's copyright, and ordered the defendants Guo Jingming and Chunfeng Literature and Art Publishing House to immediately stop publishing "Dreams". With the publication of the book "How Many Flowers Have Fallen?", *** jointly compensated the plaintiff Zhuang Yu for economic losses of 200,000 yuan, publicly apologized to the plaintiff Zhuang Yu in the "China Youth Daily", and the defendant Beijing Book Building Co., Ltd. stopped selling The book "How Many Flowers Have Fallen in a Dream". In May 2006, the Beijing Higher People's Court made a final judgment. Based on the first-instance judgment, it increased the mental damage consolation payment by 10,000 yuan.

After the final verdict was announced, Guo Jingming has voluntarily fulfilled his obligation to compensate 210,000 yuan, but has never made a public apology. To this end, Zhuang Yu submitted an enforcement application to Beijing No. 1 Intermediate Court on June 16, 2006, requesting the court to take enforcement measures against Guo Jingming's "refusal to apologize." In the application, Zhuang Yu requested the court to "implement the obligation of the respondent Guo Jingming and the Chunfeng Literature and Art Publishing House to publicly apologize to the applicant in China Youth Daily in accordance with the law; and to enforce the obligation of the respondent Guo Jingming and the Chunfeng Literature and Art Publishing House to stop publishing "Dream in the Dream" in accordance with the law. Obligation to publish and distribute the book "You Know How Many Flowers Fall".

After the First Intermediate Court filed the case for execution, the execution judge immediately issued an execution notice to the person subject to execution, Guo Jingming, requiring Guo Jingming to perform his legal obligations. After the execution notice was issued, the court received a case acceptance fee of 10,010 yuan and an execution fee of 50 yuan from Guo Jingming, but Guo Jingming himself did not show up or publicly apologize.

To this end, the executive judge called Guo Jingming several times, three of which were answered by Guo Jingming himself. Guo Jingming did not comment on the public apology. The execution judge repeatedly asked Guo Jingming to draft his own statement of apology, but Guo Jingming has always ignored it. The execution judge informed Guo Jingming's agent, Yang, that because Guo Jingming refused to write an apology statement, the No. 1 Intermediate People's Court decided to publish an announcement in the China Youth Daily based on the effective judgment. The announcement fee of 14,000 yuan was paid by Guo Jingming. It is reported that the announcement was published in the China Youth Daily on December 13.
