The Economic Development of Canggeng Town

Canggeng Town is one of the main chestnut producing areas in Guizhou Province, with a planting area of 50,000 mu, and the surrounding towns are driven by radiation. The planting area of the whole barn-ploughed chestnut base has reached 6.5438+0.8 million mu, and the fruit is about 80,000 mu, with an annual output of more than 50 million Jin and an output value of more than 90 million yuan. The operation mode of the whole chestnut base: household as a unit and cooperative management by farmers. The large-scale harvest period of chestnut is September every year. At present, there are three controlled atmosphere storage warehouses in the base, which can store 800 tons of chestnut. In 2003, Canggeng Chestnut Base was named as a popular science demonstration base by Xingyi Association for Science and Technology. In 2007, it was awarded as the national advanced unit for popularizing science, benefiting farmers and rejuvenating villages, and was commended by China Association for Science and Technology and the Ministry of Finance. In order to speed up the sustainable development of chestnut industry and realize one-stop production, processing and marketing, the town government organized and established "Chestnut Development Association of Canggeng Town, Xingyi City" and "Professional Cooperative of Tiegan Canggeng Chestnut Farmers in Xingyi City". 20 1 1, Canggeng Town, Cangjiang Township, Luowan Township, Nidang Town, Qiu Yi Town and Sanjiangkou Town.

In terms of tourism resources, Dali River Scenic Area and Taiyangwan Shilin Scenic Area are the main tourism resources. Dali River Scenic Area, located in Jichang Village, Canggeng Town, 50 kilometers away from Xingyi City, is the source of Dali River, covering an area of 3 square kilometers. The whole scenic spot has simple folk customs, intact vegetation and beautiful scenery. Because of pollution-free, the fish in Dali River is well-known and deeply loved by consumers, and it is still a virgin land to be developed. Sun Bay Stone Forest is located in Gechang Village, Canggeng Town, 45 kilometers away from the urban area. It is in the same strain as Nidang Shilin Scenic Area and He Yingrou's former residence. Dali River Scenic Area and Taiyangwan Stone Forest Scenic Area are both ideal places to develop rural tourism, which are of great development value.
