Xidi, Hongcun and other scenic spots here have been included in the world cultural heritage. They are world-famous historical sites in China and the common wealth of all mankind.

Tao Yuanming, a writer in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, once wrote the famous Peach Blossom Garden, saying that the life prototype of this book was taken from yi county, but it was credible. Yixian county has been blocked by traffic since ancient times. Before liberation, there were only 8 kilometers of transit roads (not passing through the county). 1956 taoyuan ancient cave was blasted, and the first road leading to the county seat was built. Entering the ancient cave in Taoyuan, along the Hengjiang River (the upper reaches of Xin 'anjiang River), peach blossoms used to be everywhere. A few miles later, they arrived at Yixian Basin. Suddenly enlightened. Does Li Bai's poem not correctly describe Yi County's seclusion in those days?

Not long ago, he obtained a set of Tao's genealogy in Chiling Village, where the Tao family lived in Yixian County. Tao Yuanming was divided into three schools according to genealogy, and moved to Yixian from the fifth and sixth generations. Peach Blossom Garden was made into a TV movie and won the first prize of the first China TV program.

Yixian is an ancient and beautiful mountainous county, which has preserved more than 3,500 ancient buildings before the Qing Dynasty, and is known as "the epitome of oriental culture" and "the museum of ancient buildings". Yixian's tourism resources, first, the art of ancient dwellings, are scattered all over the place, and many of them are still well preserved. There are Xidi, known as the Museum of Ancient Dwellings in Ming and Qing Dynasties, Hongcun, a cow-shaped village with a peculiar layout, Mukeng Village in a maze, and Lu Guan Village, a diverse and interconnected residential complex. These ancient houses are located in the hinterland, and the ancient traffic is blocked, so they are free from the disaster of war. Most of the ancient dwellings in Yixian County are rich in the traditional cultural characteristics of China. They are ingenious in layout, structure, decoration and architecture, which embody the essence of China traditional culture and are rare tourist attractions.

Many scenes in the Oscar-winning blockbuster Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon from 2000 to 20001were filmed here, such as villages, water surfaces, escort agency buildings, sword shadows and bamboo seas.
