What is ecotourism?

Generally speaking, natural tourism and tourism based on sustainability can be regarded as eco-tourism. The Environment Department of the World Bank and the Ecotourism Society define ecotourism as "going to natural areas purposefully to learn about the culture and natural history of the environment, which will not destroy nature, and will enable local communities to gain economic benefits from the protection of natural resources." The definition is very strict, but it is a bit inscrutable. Let's use concrete examples to illustrate what eco-tourism is. One is bird watching. Tourists who leave early and return late with binoculars can accurately identify the species of birds only by their' singing' or' flying' gestures;

Second, it is refreshing to take a boat to the rough sea to find whales, a spray column, or the water splashed by whales when their huge bodies fall into the sky; Third, pack your bags and go deep into the mysterious Amazon hinterland by boat: vines droop, apes crow and piranhas clatter in the water; Fourth, volunteer to participate in the field work of some research projects and support the research with the room and board expenses paid.

These tours are beneficial to nature protection and enable tourists to receive environmental education from them, which is often called eco-tourism.
