I will not consider high-speed rail and high-speed trains when traveling on a budget. Here is the train travel route I designed for you:

First stop: Guangzhou to Guiyang

Train number K841/K844 departs at 13:50 and arrives at 09:50 on the second day. The journey takes 20 hours and the hard seat fare is 173.5 yuan.

When you arrive in Guiyang, you can choose to visit the surrounding and Guizhou special attractions, such as Xijiang Miao Village.

Second stop: Guiyang to Chongqing

Train number K872/K873, departing at 07:52 and arriving at 17:43 on the day, 10 hours of journey, 69 yuan for a hard seat.

Haha, I am from Chongqing. When you come to Chongqing, you must eat the authentic Chongqing hot pot. If you are in the city, Ciqikou, Hongyadong and Guanyin Bridge are all worth visiting.

The third stop: Chongqing to Chengdu

Train number K192/K193, departing at 16:23 and arriving at 21:34 on the day, 5 hours of journey, hard seat price is 46.5 yuan.

Chengdu is the provincial capital of Sichuan. There are many tourist routes in western Sichuan. Chunxi Road, Wuhou Temple and Du Fu Thatched Cottage in the city are all famous attractions.

Fourth stop: Chengdu to Kunming

Train K1504/K1501 departs at 19:04 and arrives at 19:36 on the second day. The journey takes 17 hours and the hard seat fare is 138.5 yuan.

Kunming is the city of spring, and it also has ethnic characteristics. There are many snacks worth trying.

Fifth stop: Kunming to Guangzhou

Train number K1206/K1207, departing at 08:47 and arriving at 11:46 on the second day, 27 hours of journey, 198 yuan for hard seat.

This train passes through Nanning, the provincial capital of Guangxi. If you have enough time, you can get off in Nanning and visit. In the end, I still took this train back to Guangzhou.
