What's the difference between population mobility and migration?

Legal analysis: population mobility refers to the phenomenon that people leave their original residence temporarily or for a short time without changing their household registration because of work, study, travel, visiting relatives and other reasons. The three elements of population migration, namely the temporality of spatial displacement, generally change after living for more than one year. According to the different spatial scope of population migration, there are two types of international population migration and domestic population migration. Both population migration and population mobility are a process of population movement in geographical space, but population migration emphasizes the change of residence and time limit (permanent or long-term). Population migration generally refers to the spatial flow of population between two regions, which usually involves the permanent or long-term change of population residence from the place of emigration to the place of emigration.

Population mobility refers to the phenomenon that people return to their original place of residence after leaving for a period of time. Generally speaking, it refers to the flow of people who leave their hometown to work, study, travel, visit relatives and join the army for a period of time without changing their place of residence.

Population migration does not belong to population migration, but it is more common and frequent than population migration, and floating population cannot be called immigration. Population mobility is divided into periodic mobility and round-trip mobility.

Population migration is a registered permanent residence, and population mobility is not a registered permanent residence. For example, if you move from Guangdong to Shanghai, you will often move your hukou, then you are a population migration.
