A trip to Quanzhou is as good as water

When a flower blooms in the right place, it is a joyful thing to go to your favorite city alone.

In late August, I was about to go to work, but unexpectedly I was on holiday again. It was an unexpected surprise, so I happily went out.

My sister suggested: Go to Quanzhou! I agreed to be with her, whether we go out or not, or wherever we go. I have always had a do-it-all attitude. Every time I go out, I will definitely bring coffee, tea, and books. .

This time with my sister here, I was so crazy that I brought a lot of accessories with me before leaving.

It only takes half a day to get from Hangzhou to Quanzhou, but the customs and customs are very different. Quanzhou is located in the southeast of Fujian Province, bordering Fuzhou to the north, Xiamen to the south, and Taiwan Treasure Island to the east. During the Tang Dynasty, it was one of the four major ports in the world and was hailed as the "City of Light" by Marco Polo. It is also the internationally recognized starting point of the "Maritime Silk Road".

Walking on the old street, you can see all the large buildings "from the Imperial Palace", with orange bricks and white and gray stones, against the blue sky and white clouds, and people with golden texture walking on the ground, which is unique. Flavor. Standing at the entrance of "Thean Hou Temple", letting the golden glass-like light shine on the body, the whole person is like a golden leaf, both lazy and light.

Even though night has fallen, the streets are still full of seafood stalls, and people are constantly coming to choose from them. We walked deep into the street and ate authentic rice rolls and bean curd noodles. They were all handmade, a full bowl, and so delicious that we couldn't help but blow the hot air and give a thumbs up in our hearts.

Coming to the "Eye of the City" - Jiahe Square on the bank of Jinjiang River, we took a ride on the Ferris wheel. As our field of vision expanded, we had a panoramic view of everything in the city. As a product of the city, Jiahe Plaza has a very high degree of citizen participation. Children use skateboards to play on the natural ramps and play small amusement projects. Citizens shop, dine, and relax here, making it very lively.

I have probably passed the age where I like to take risks, and my body is a little bit overwhelmed. Even though the Ferris wheel rises very slowly, my heart is still beating loudly, and I secretly hope that this can end as soon as possible. During the process, I returned to the ground and took a peek at my sister. She also had a solemn look on her face, but Little Duoduo was walking excitedly from one side to the other, so excited! Every step she took made my heart tremble.

“Quanzhou, this is a city you should visit at least once in your life!” Bai Yansong’s comments about this place attracted countless young men and women.

With the Bell Tower, Dashi Hall, Wish Wall, and Starry Sky Tent as the background, we took countless photos and ate a lot of snacks: Tangxin Mochi, Jiatianxia Milk Tea, Rouge Lane Soup Dumplings , colorful four-fruit soup, and sand tea noodles with rich ingredients. Holding a small cup and biting a straw, tilting the angle 45 degrees, showing 8 teeth, smiling beautifully, taking selfies as evidence, leaving traces of your visit. . Yes, every tourist city must have an Internet celebrity street, such as the Chenghuang Temple in Shanghai, Kuanzhai Alley in Chengdu, Hefang Street in Hangzhou, and Hubu Alley in Wuhan. If you come to such a city but don't go to such a street, you will definitely not be able to find anything to talk about with your colleagues and friends over tea, and you will suspect that you have gone to a fake city.

After returning to the Guesthouse at night, I walked slowly along the walking trail on the lake. The winding paths lead to quiet places and the lights flickered. This scene reminded me of Zhang Ailing's "The First Agarwood Chips" "Incense", it is said that the filming has started and will be released soon. Thinking of the plot in the novel, I wonder when Weilong left angrily, Qiao Qiqiao followed him in the car, but such a beautiful and dreamy curve? At the end of the path, dazzling red eryngium flowers bloomed. It was shocking to see, and my heart was filled with a kind of tragic beauty, just like the woman trapped in love, who always lingers with her delicate sentimentality.

Kaiyuan Temple is one of the top ten famous temples in the country, ranking first among the Buddhist jungles in Quanzhou, the "Buddhist Country". The folk customs here are simple, the relationship with Buddhism is deep, there are many sages of the past dynasties, and eminent monks have emerged in large numbers. Zhu Xi of the Song Dynasty wrote a couplet on Kaiyuan Temple: "This place was called the Buddhist country in ancient times, and it was full of saints." Entering from the main entrance, you will find the Temple of the Heavenly King, the Sutra Pavilion, and the Main Hall. The two towers, East and West Pagodas, came into view, and every sight was filled with devout pilgrims.

Since we often visit Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou, we skipped the Main Hall. It was the memorial hall of Master Hongyi Li Shutong in a corner of Kaiyuan Temple that attracted our attention.

“Outside the long pavilion, beside the ancient road, the green grass reaches the sky...” Master Hongyi’s “Farewell” was once popular in China and abroad, and it also opened up my infinite fascination for poetry and distant places. Every time I feel reluctant to leave my hometown, every lonely journey under the sunset, this soul-stirring song lingers in my heart.

Master Hongyi’s personal teachings have moved countless travelers. Walking on the corridor, I couldn’t help but ask, how could the master bear all the odds and make this "sad and happy" decision? The corridor was silent and there was no response, but the whole wall was painted with the "Nursing Picture Album" that awakened people's hearts. It seemed to be recounting to me the past of Feng Zikai and Li Shutong being both teachers and friends, and also replaying the stories of the followers who fought for The family's efforts to protect the "Nursing Picture Album" made me feel disappointed and enlightened.

All saints and sages have been lonely since ancient times. Perhaps Master Hongyi himself has reached such a state. It only takes a moment for him to complete the tonsure ceremony.

As a tourist who cannot achieve enlightenment, in addition to admiring his realm, there is also a sense of helplessness that cannot escape from the mundane world!

At a certain moment, my thoughts were drawn by a weak figure. It was a Japanese woman who followed him thousands of miles away.

My wife called softly: Shutong~

He said: Please call me Hongyi.

The wife asked: Please tell me, what is love?

He said: Love is compassion.

In any case, he is going to "repay you with a bowl of heartless tears."

The first time I heard that story, I was moved by that woman. Because of love, she could give up her own nation and follow him to a foreign land alone. However, after he decided to become a monk, But she also knew how to fulfill him, respect his choice, and no longer interfere with each other in life and death.

Leaving does not mean that you no longer love me! The birth and death of every relationship is fate. The literary genius Li Shutong is gone, but the spirit of Master Hongyi will last forever.

Because of the hot weather, we stayed for a long time on the corridor of Master Hongyi’s memorial hall. Xiao Duoduo pointed to a colorful Pegasus with wings on the eaves. Asked: "Can you tell a story about it?"

My sister immediately said: "When a horse encountered a flood, he immediately ran back to save his children. The flood was too fierce. Seeing that the horse was about to be drowned, it used all its strength and determination, and finally grew a pair of wings, so it flew back smoothly and rescued its child."

" Wow! She is such a brave mother!" Xiao Duoduo praised sincerely.

But I was moved by this simple and unoriginal story in an instant.

"Do you believe in Buddhism?" I asked.

"No, I believe in love." She replied with a smile.

?

The courtyard is filled with towering trees for pilgrims to rest here while worshiping the Buddha. There are turtles of all sizes in the pond, attracting countless people to watch. In addition, we also found a small post office, so we wrote a few postcards to the people we missed.

Little Duoduo wrote a postcard and sent it to her good friend Doudou, but we didn’t know where to send it. “Who in the clouds sent a brocade book? One kind of lovesickness, two places. I have nothing to worry about."

When we go out to play, we have to be careful about everything. Taking advantage of the strongest sun at noon, we got in the car and drove to the next stop - Chongwu Ancient City.

As the sun approached dusk, amidst the gentle sea breeze and the sound of seagulls, we arrived at Jinshawan Beach, where we saw fine golden sand everywhere. We walked barefoot on the beach, and the coarse sand abraded our eyes. The soles of my feet feel a little stinging, which reminds me of walking on a country road when I was a child. The mud and pebbles were baked to a crisp, and there was a numbing pain when I stepped on them. However, after a long time, the initial discomfort disappeared. Now, little Duoduo is holding up her skirt and running happily on the beach. A breeze blew by, and the waves rushed over layer by layer, gently licking our feet. It was very pleasant to wander in the golden sunset. We chatted about the visual differences between West Lake and Jinshawan. My sister said: The color of the West Lake is very full, with the mountains in the distance, the water close by, and the weeping willows in front of you, forming a rather layered picture. The picture of Jinsha Bay is more ethereal, with the endless sea, but the sky is all pink and pink. The contrasting colors are so gorgeous!

Looking from a distance, the stone T-shaped city wall of Chongwu Ancient City is still majestic and brave, guarding the people on the southeast coast.

The weather forecast says that a typhoon is coming, but people who live by the sea take it for granted. The beach is full of resting birds, and people who live along the coast set up a table at the door of every household, enjoying the sea breeze, drinking beer, and eating seafood, and are so happy. So, we relaxed and headed out the door in spite of the strong wind. Walking from the east gate to the west gate of Chongwu Ancient City, you can see blue bricks and white tiles under your feet, and every household is filled with old people and children left behind. The night light last night gave me the illusion that this place is similar to the fishing villages in coastal cities in Jiangsu and Zhejiang. It turns out that Not so. The road was uneven, there were no guide signs, and there was an inexplicable smell in the air. We encountered two forks in the middle of the road, both of which were due to language barriers and no road signs on the navigation system, so we had to go around in circles. Until we met an old man, he told us with gestures that we could walk all the way out along the stone road on the ground, "Only take the stone road, not the cement road!" We walked a long way, and he told us with gestures. Finally, following the patterned stone slabs, we arrived at the west gate.

In the afternoon, the wind became more and more fierce. Sand and rocks flew on the streets, and branches flew randomly in the strong wind and were broken one after another. Our car had already arrived at the Xiaoqian Art Museum, but we had to go back home because the museum was closed due to the typhoon. Fortunately, the guy who sent us there hadn't gone far yet, and a phone call called him back. On the way, considering It was difficult to travel during the typhoon, so he enthusiastically sent us to the supermarket to buy some simple food.

At night, I stayed in the inn on the fifteenth floor, listening to the sound of wind and rain outside. Occasionally I felt the house shaking, giving me a sense of wandering. I vaguely thought of some small and sentimental things. The fragment fell asleep vaguely in this moist feeling. But my sister said that she was worried about us, especially Xiao Duoduo, worried that she would fall. She woke up several times, and it wasn’t until she saw us sleeping soundly that she felt a little more at ease.

At dawn the next day, the sun was still shining brightly, and the remnants of the typhoon were still there, but it did not affect people's travel and work. We packed up everything and set off on the way back.

The good wind sent me back to Hangzhou with its strength.
