The main responsibilities of Sichuan Provincial Tourism Bureau

(a) to implement the national tourism guidelines, policies, laws and regulations, formulate local regulations on the development of tourism in this province, be responsible for the administration of the system and the department according to law, implement the responsibility system for administrative law enforcement, formulate local standards and industry norms for the development of tourism and organize their implementation.

(two) to formulate and organize the implementation of the province's tourism development master plan, tourism special planning, tourism cross-regional planning and annual plan, review the city (state) tourism development plan and guide the implementation, supervision and management of the province's tourism planning.

(three) in conjunction with the relevant departments to guide the development of tourism resources, planning and construction of major tourism projects, tourism safety, tourism emergency rescue, comprehensive management of tourism environment, holiday tourism, red tourism and other work.

(4) To formulate the market development strategies for domestic tourism, inbound tourism and outbound tourism in the whole province and organize their implementation, organize external publicity and major promotion activities of Sichuan's overall tourism image, and guide foreign-related tourism and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan tourism.

(5) To be responsible for the supervision and management of travel agencies in the province, supervise and manage the order of the tourism market and the quality of tourism services jointly with relevant departments, supervise and handle tourism complaints, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of tourists and tour operators, and guide the construction of spiritual civilization, credit system and business work of industry organizations in the tourism industry.

(six) to be responsible for the examination and approval of the establishment of travel agencies, the examination and approval of travel agencies' application for outbound tourism business, the examination and approval of travel visas for the establishment of overseas travel teams by travel agencies and the qualification examination of tour guide practitioners.

(seven) in conjunction with the relevant departments to promote the reform of tourism system and mechanism, and guide the development of key tourism enterprises, the planning and development of new tourism formats and the work of attracting investment.

(eight) monitoring the operation of the tourism economy, responsible for the construction of tourism information, tourism statistics and industry information release.

(nine) to formulate and organize the implementation of tourism talent planning, guide tourism education and training, and formulate and organize the implementation of professional qualification standards and grade standards for tourism professionals in conjunction with relevant departments.

(ten) to undertake the relevant administrative examination and approval items announced by the provincial government.

(eleven) to undertake other tasks assigned by the provincial government.
