The easiest way to apply for a Uruguay visa

You need to apply for a Uruguay visa from the Uruguay Embassy or Consulate General in China. The official website of the Consulate General of Uruguay and the Republic of Uruguay in Shanghai describes the application process for short-term tourist visas as follows:

1. Prepare visa application materials: Chinese version application form; passport valid for more than 6 months ; Valid Chinese People's Republic of China ID card; Two recent two-inch photos (color, in line with passport requirements); Invitation letter in Spanish issued by a Uruguayan travel agency or a Uruguayan citizen; Hotel reservation confirmation or the applicant's Description of residence during Uruguay; Proof of accommodation for relatives and friends’ properties (that is, during the stay in Uruguay, relatives and friends provide their own properties for the applicant to live in, which must be issued by relatives and friends); Proof of financial situation (bank deposits, real estate, stocks, etc.). If the above-mentioned assets belong to other members of the applicant’s family, such as parents, children or spouse, proof of the kinship relationship between the applicant and the owner must be provided. Proof of kinship must be notarized;

Full round-trip air ticket booking information from China to Uruguay (China-Uruguay-China, the full round-trip route information should be stated: date, flight number and city and airport name).

2. Scanned copies of all visa application materials should be emailed to the email address of the consulate general. After receiving the above information, the Consulate General will contact the applicant to arrange a date and time for the Consulate General interview.

3. If there is no difference in the interview, the Consulate General will report the applicant’s information to the Uruguayan Immigration Service. From then on, the Uzbek inviter needs to maintain communication with the Immigration Bureau and complete the Immigration Bureau’s review procedures on time. The Immigration Bureau's review procedures may last four weeks, depending entirely on the cooperation of the Uzbek inviter and the Immigration Bureau. Once the Consulate General receives the visa approval authorization from the Immigration Bureau, it will contact the applicant again. The applicant will bring his passport to the Consulate General again to pay for the visa. Note: The passport with the sticker must be the same passport as the passport applied for. If different, the entire application process must be started from scratch.
