Focus on the Institute of Economics and Society of Jinan University.

Founded on 20 15, 1 1, it is a teaching and research institution established by Jinan University to build a high-level university and promote the internationalization of economics education and research. The Institute is committed to building a first-class applied economics discipline in China, carrying out large-scale social investigation projects, conducting international academic research, providing high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate education, and building a high-level think tank. Professor Feng, winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, was appointed as the president of the Institute.

On October 20 17 10,1,the research institute was included in the list of core think tanks of China think tank comprehensive evaluation report on AMI (20 17). On February 20 18, our institute ranked in the top ten in the list of professional influence of social think tanks in China think tank report-influence ranking and policy suggestions.

The School of Translation of Jinan University was established on 20 10, located in Zhuhai campus, adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao, with convenient transportation. The campus is surrounded by mountains and waters, the mountains are evergreen all the year round, the Sun Moon Lake is rippling, the Rome Square is bustling, and the teaching equipment is advanced and complete, providing students with an excellent learning environment and suitable living conditions.

Adhering to the advantages of Jinan's foreign language discipline for a century, the college has an undergraduate degree program and a master's degree program in translation (jointly established with the Foreign Languages College). 20 14 was granted the "master of translation studies" independently, aiming at cultivating universal translators with both ability and political integrity, outstanding bilingual ability and familiarity with Chinese and foreign cultures. The academic strength of the college is very outstanding.

In 20 15, "translation major" was selected by Zhuhai municipal government as one of the six "dominant disciplines" in Zhuhai. In 20 19, Zhuhai's dominant disciplines were accepted and evaluated as excellent. On 20 18, the translation major of the Institute of Translation was designated as "key major" by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education. In 2020, the translation major of the School of Translation was selected as a provincial-level first-class professional construction site of national double-ten thousand majors, and was approved as a national-level first-class professional construction site in 20021.
