Taian Forest Park is a provincial-level forest park, located in the western mountainous area of yijun county, Tongchuan City, 40km from the Huangdi Mausoleum in the north, 43km from Tongchuan City in the south and149km from Xi City. Adjacent to Yuhua Palace Scenic Area, the forest coverage rate is 82.6%. The total area is 959.2 hectares. In July 2000, it was approved by Shaanxi provincial government as a provincial forest park. According to legend, this place was once the hunting ground of Emperor Taizong, with an altitude of 1228- 1558.24 meters, belonging to a temperate and semi-humid climate zone.
