Chengyang City

Chengyang City was also called the City of the King of Chu, and its earliest name was "Negative Han". It is 20 miles south of Minggang Town, close to the Huaihe River in the southeast, the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway passing through the city in the east, and close to National Highway 107 in the west. The inner city and the outer city were built in two phases. The east wall of the inner city is 500 meters long, the west wall is 325 meters long, the south wall is 524 meters long, and the north wall is 530 meters long. To the southwest is a high platform (now a residential area). There are traces of trenches outside the city. The trenches on the southeast sides are more than 30 meters wide. Nearly 7 meters deep, farmers now store water for irrigation. The outer city will be expanded in the future. The east wall is 640 meters long, the north wall is 770 meters long, the west wall extends 422 meters north based on the west wall of the inner city, and the base of the inner city wall extends 406 meters eastward within the south wall. The inner city wall has a circumference of 1879 meters. Japonica japonica tree ruins

Japonica japonica tree ruins are located within the territory of the Japonica japonica tree villagers group in Gongzhuang community and are located on a high platform. It is adjacent to a creek in the south, plains in the west and north, and 1.5 miles away from Minghe River in the east. The site is 300 meters wide and 700 meters long, covering an area of ??about 4,000 square meters. The cultural layer is 0.5 to 2 meters thick and contains red stove soil, pottery shards and charcoal. In 1957 and 1961, it was excavated twice by the Provincial Cultural Relics and Archaeological Team. The unearthed cultural relics include stone axes, stone sickles, stone chisels, stone arrowheads, bone awls, pottery bowls and flat-bottomed utensils, etc. The pottery pieces have patterns such as text patterns and square patterns. . It was identified as a Neolithic cultural site by relevant departments and listed as a provincial key cultural relic protection unit in 1959.

mosque

The mosque is located in the southern section of Zhongshan Street, Minggang Town. It occupies an area of ??75 meters long and 24 meters wide, with a total area of ??1,800 square meters. The overall courtyard faces west and faces east, which is China's Traditional courtyard-style building. The main building is the worship hall, which faces east and faces west. It is 3 rooms wide, 12 meters long from north to south and 8 meters wide from east to west. It has a building area of ??96 square meters and is a brick-concrete structure. The main body is white, the edges are green, and there is a green dome above. There are golden treasure gourds and a crescent-shaped metal ornament above the dome, showing a typical Arab architectural style. Minggang Mosque was built in the 18th year of the Republic of China (1929). It is an important place of worship for Muslims in Minggang and its surrounding towns. It is also the only well-preserved earlier building in Minggang Town so far.
