When is the International Tourism Day?
World tourism day is a festival designated by the World Tourism Organization for tourism workers and tourists.
As early as 197 1, the International Federation of Official Tourism Organizations, the predecessor of the World Tourism Organization, put forward the idea of creating this festival according to the opinions of official tourism organizations of African countries. 1979 In September, the third Congress of the World Tourism Organization officially decided that September 27th was world tourism day.
This day was chosen because the International Union of Official Tourism Organizations adopted the constitution of the World Tourism Organization to be established at the special congress held in Mexico City on September 27th, 1970, so it is of commemorative significance.
In addition, this day happens to be the handover time just after the peak tourist season in the northern hemisphere and the peak tourist season in the southern hemisphere.
