≮◆One of Zhouzhuang tourist attractions: Zhangting≯
------------------------- ----------------
Zhang Hall is one of the few remaining Ming Dynasty buildings in Zhouzhuang Town and is a key cultural relic protection unit in Jiangsu Province. Originally named Yishun Hall, it is said to have been built during the Zhengtong period of the Ming Dynasty by a descendant of Xu Kui, the younger brother of Zhongshan King Xu Da. In the early Qing Dynasty, it was sold to a family named Zhang and renamed Yuyantang, commonly known as Zhangting. In recent years, it has been restored to its original appearance after careful maintenance by relevant departments.
On the east side of the hall, there is a dark and long alley. In the old days, the main door was not opened for any important events. Whenever weddings, funerals, or distinguished guests came to visit, the main door was opened and carried in the sedan chair. I usually accompany my family when they come in and out. Nowadays, the side lane has become a tourist passage with a unique flavor. I walk forward in the dim light without knowing the depth. I don’t know how much time has passed in the silence. I can only see the mottled walls and the alcoves that were darkened by the fireworks. The cold The moisture was thick under my feet, and in my confusion, a piece of green light came over me, and my eyes suddenly lit up: the backyard was full of flowers and trees, the spring scenery was picturesque, and a crystal clear river mysteriously flashed at the bottom of the alley, flowing against the wall and then crossing the water. Leaving the pavilion, it is like a divine stroke at the climax of the article, which is unexpected.
