Tengchong County is known as the "Natural Geology Museum" and is one of the most famous volcano-intensive areas in my country. The underground faults are very developed and the magma activity is also very intense. The territory is dotted with large and small volcanoes, forming a huge volcanic landscape. There are 97 dormant volcanoes in the area, of which 23 have relatively complete crater preservation. There are various types of volcanoes and volcanic dams. Tengchong is also a famous geothermal scenic spot in China. It is one of the three major geothermal areas in my country. It is famous for its hot springs, powerful thermal power and unique external display. There are currently 64 geothermal activity areas found in the region, and more than 80 hot springs, with the highest water temperature reaching 96.3°C. Among them, the one with the strongest heat and the most wonderful external display is the Tengchong Hot Sea embedded about 20 kilometers west of the city. Surrounded by green mountains and noisy flowing water, Xu Xiake once traveled here and described: "Flying up and opening the upper jaw, the lower part is like a throat, water and air spurt out... The spray is like a motor, the sound is like a roaring tiger, and it is several days high. When you fall into the cave, it is as hot as exploring; or when you jump, the wind blows from it, and the water shoots out, catching people a few feet away, and the droplets are like sulfur shining on their faces. "
In the north. The pond is connected to Songshan Qing in the south, Zhongxiao Temple in the east, and Bajiao Garden in the west. It covers an area of ??about 9 square kilometers. At present, large and small rolling pots, Hamazui, Beauty Pond, Lion Head, Pearl Spring, and Drumming Spring have been developed. There are more than ten scenic spots such as Embroidery Well, Immortal Bathhouse and Bathhouse River Falls. The most spectacular one is the sulfur pond called "Yihong Rehai" or "Big Rolling Pot". The large rolling pot is round in shape, with a diameter of 6.12 meters and a water depth of 1.5 meters. It is indeed a huge "giant pot". There are three water spray holes in the pot, and the water temperature at the bottom of the pot can reach a maximum of 102°C. It is said that a cow fell into it and when it was picked up ten minutes later, only a skeleton was left, which shows how powerful the heat is. Here, visitors can also dig a small pit and bury the lunch box containing rice and vegetables in the pit. In about 20 minutes, you can taste a unique "Atami Fast Food". What's even more interesting is that in the "Atami Fast Food" Boil the eggs in a large boiling pot and serve immediately.
Daying Mountain, located in the northern part of Tengchong County, 14 kilometers away from the city, is the center of the Tengchong volcano group. With it as the axis, more than 70 volcanoes are regularly arranged from east to west, forming a famous recent volcanic zone in China. In addition to famous natural landscapes such as volcanoes and geothermal heat, the National Memorial Cemetery in Tengchong has become a world-famous cultural landscape due to its rich historical background and strong patriotism. National mourning refers to those who died in national affairs. It comes from Qu Yuan's "Nine Songs: National Sorrow". There is a "Japanese Tomb" about 1 meter high on the left side of the gate, in which a Japanese soldier's corpse is buried.
