Self-guided tour from Suzhou to Xitang

Take a bus from Suzhou South Railway Station to Jiaxing, and then take a bus from Jiaxing to Jiashan. The buses depart on a rolling basis. There is a bus from Jiashan to Xitang, which costs three yuan per person. It also leaves from Jiashan Bus Station.

No tickets are required in Xitang from Monday to Friday, but admission is required on weekends, which is 50 yuan. If you still want to see those compound temples, you can buy a combined ticket for 100 yuan each.

The price of a room facing the river usually costs 100, but the price of a room not facing the river can be reduced to 50. Prices generally double on weekends. The food is not expensive, and famous ones include Qiantang Renjia, Xitang Renjia, Old Street Restaurant, Ming and Qing Food Agency, etc.

I prefer to eat malt cake, and the pork belly is also good.

There are not many tourists in the early morning and evening, so walking in Xitang is quite enjoyable.

I went there in March this year. If you have any questions, please send me a message.
