Introduction to Xuzhou
Xuzhou, referred to as Xu, was called Pengcheng in ancient times. It is a prefecture-level city in Jiangsu Province. It is located in the northwest of Jiangsu Province, the southeast of the North China Plain, and the north wing of the Yangtze River Delta. The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal runs through it, Longhai, Beijing-Shanghai The two main railway lines intersect in Xuzhou, known as the "Throughway of Five Provinces".
Xuzhou is an important gateway city in East China, an important science, education, culture, finance, tourism, medical, and exhibition center in East China. It is also an important economic, commercial and foreign trade center in Jiangsu Province.
Xuzhou is a national historical and cultural city. At the end of primitive society, Pengzu founded the Peng Kingdom during the reign of Emperor Yao. It was the earliest city to appear in Jiangsu. Historically, Xuzhou has been one of the nine states in China. Since ancient times, it has been the key to the North, the gateway to the South, a battleground for military strategists, and a gathering center for merchants.
