Daqugang Qushan in the late Qing Dynasty is located in the north-central part of Zhoushan Islands, northeast of Daishan County, and on the outer edge of the estuaries of the Yangtze River and Qiantang River. It is backed by the economic circles of Shanghai, Hangzhou and Ningbo. International routes pass through its territory, and it is known as my country's "thorough thoroughfare" on the sea. After Qushan Town was built as an island, it has jurisdiction over 79 islands, including 5 inhabited islands (Qushan Main Island 61.13 square kilometers, Xiaoqu Island 1.87 square kilometers, Huangze Island 2.6 square kilometers, Shulang Island 5.3 square kilometers, Xia Sanxing Island, collectively known as Qushan Island). Qushan Island has a total area of ??73.6 square kilometers, including 13.8 square kilometers of tidal flats. It is the seventh largest island in our province, the 24th largest island in China, and one of the four major economic islands in Zhoushan, with a population of 60,200 (2005). The whole island runs northwest-southeast, with a length of about 18 kilometers from east to west and an average width of 4 kilometers from north to south. The panoramic view of Qushan Town can be divided into seven major scenic spots, four on the main island and three on the outer islands. They are Guanyin Mountain Scenic Area (one mountain), Shuanglong Beach Scenic Area (one sand), Daodou-Huangfenji Scenic Area (one beach), and Longtan-Mazu Mountain Scenic Area (one bay). Qushan Port Area is one of the eight major port areas of Zhoushan Port, including Dqushan, Xiaoqushan, Huangzeshan, Shulang Island, etc. The port area composed of islands extends in all directions and was opened to the outside world on January 1, 2004. The water in the port area is deep and smooth, the anchorage is wide, the channel is smooth, the hinterland is sufficient, and the wind shelter is good. It is an ideal port site for the construction of large-scale deep-water ports along China's coast. The total length of the island's coastline is 101 kilometers, of which more than 30 kilometers are usable coastline, 23 kilometers with water depths above 10 meters, 7 kilometers with water depths above 20 meters, and water channels with water depths between 14 and 24 meters. The specific distribution is:

(1) The deep-water shoreline of Sheyimen in the east. The west bank section, from Dashatou in the east of Qushan Island to Shetou, is 4,000 meters long, with the front 20-meter isobath 700-1,100 meters away from the shore. The east coast section, from Xiaopanshan on Shulang Island to Shulang Island, is 4,500 meters long. The front water depth is 10 to 20 meters, and the isobath is 100-150 meters away from the shore. The channel water depth is more than 23.5 meters.

(2) Deep water shoreline in the south. One section is 6,500 meters long from Sha Tong Tsui to Niluoshan, with the 10-meter isobath at the front being 100-450 meters away from the shore; the other section is 7,500 meters long from Niluoshan to Lijiniang Reef, with the 10-meter isobath at the front being 100-450 meters away from the shore. 750 meters. The land area at the rear edge of the south bank section, except for the headlands, is mainly tidal flats, with a plain area of ??more than 6 square kilometers. The harbor water area is 5,000 meters wide, and the water depth of the outer channel is more than 14 meters.

(3) Deep water shoreline in the north. The Shizimen Bank section is 2,000 meters long; the Chaotoumen to Gongshan Bank section is 5,000 meters long, and the water depth of the channel is more than 19 meters.

(4) Huangze deep water bank section. Located on the southwest coast of Huangze Island between Qushan Island and Sijiao Island, the total coastline is 15,738 meters long, with 3,000 meters of deep water shore available, from Huangze Hill to Changshan Tsui. The 20-meter isobath is about 500 meters away from the shore, and the channel is The water depth is more than 24 meters.

Second, wind energy resources are abundant. The maximum wind speed in Qushan can reach 40 meters/second, the average wind speed over the years reaches 6.9 meters/second, and the annual wind power can generate 50,000-100,000 kilowatts of wind power.

Third, there are relatively large land resource reserves. There are currently 4,422 acres of salt fields and 13.8 square kilometers of tidal flats. There are many areas and sea areas suitable for reclamation.

Fourth, traditional fishery resources are rich, fishing has a long history, and fishing culture is profound. Daiquyang within the territory is the hometown of the Daiqu ethnic group’s large yellow croaker.

Fifth, it is rich in tourism resources. Qushan has golden sands and blue seas, style fishing villages, sea fishing resorts, leisure farms and the famous Buddhist mountain Guanyin Mountain, which has great prospects for tourism development. Qushan Island can be divided into four tourist mountain ranges, namely Niluo Mountain-Guanyin Mountain, Longtan Matsu, Dongjiao Huangfen, and Yugongwanyanmen.

Sixth, mountain resources, Qushan is a hilly island with four cultural mountains, namely Guanyin Mountains, Huanglong Mountains, Siping Mountains and Longma Mountains. These mountains are rich in forest resources.
