As early as 1956, ancient towns in the Song Dynasty, folk houses in the Qing Dynasty and a large number of complete and relatively concentrated cultural relics were announced as key cultural relics protection units in Sichuan Province. 1992 was listed as a Chongqing-level scenic spot together with Shuanglong Lake, and 1995 was published as the history of Sichuan Province.
