How to plan a "go and go" trip (for example 1)

Two and a half months' travel has made me gain a lot. Whether it's vision, vision, feelings, or new friends made during the trip.

Because of my laziness and procrastination, I wrote 19 cities and 36 travel notes for a whole year. Fortunately, when I was traveling, I recorded my itinerary, experiences and feelings one by one, otherwise I would have forgotten many details for so long.

It is because of these materials that I decided to sum up some experiences and lessons to share with you.

1. How should I plan my trip for two and a half months?

2, 6 provinces, 19 cities, where have I been? What do you see?

3. What have I gained from my long trip?

1, long-term travel necessities

2, this kind of thing must not be brought!

1, travel route planning, according to the number of trips and purpose.

2. How long is it reasonable to book machine wine in advance?

3. How to choose a hotel or homestay?

1, be sure to find the nearest station to the scenic spot!

2. Catch the train and plane as soon as possible.

3. What should I pay attention to when taking a taxi?

4. Do I need to prepare small change by bus?

1. Do you want to visit all the scenic spots?

2. How to play a scenic spot in a limited time and physical strength?

3. Should I buy special products or souvenirs?

4. Is the commercialization of tourist cities good or bad?

1, one person, two and a half months, six provinces, 19 cities, how much did I spend?

2. How to save money during travel?

1. Illness and pain are frequent visitors.

2. What should I do if the trip is wrong due to planning mistakes?

3. A good attitude is the best companion for traveling.

Now let's take my personal experience as an example to introduce my thoughts on planning this trip.

Travel, simple and simple, is nothing more than buying a plane ticket, flying to another city, finding a hotel to stay, and then taking a bus to visit various scenic spots. In the final analysis, as long as you have money, you can solve it.

However, if the travel time exceeds half a month, it puts forward higher requirements for the traveler's physical strength and the rationality of the trip. Therefore, planning a long-term trip is as difficult as managing a small project.

Next, I would like to share with you my thoughts on planning this trip.

The first step in a long-term trip must be to set the tone: do you want to cross famous mountains and rivers? Or wandering between cities? Or looking for a remote peach blossom garden and experiencing country life?

Hobbies and goals are different, and the way to travel is completely different. For example, some people have the conditions to drive an RV to road trip; Some people want to avoid commercial tourist cities and find the true meaning of life in the countryside.

For me, considering that I can't travel by car alone, convenient transportation and safety are two criteria for me to choose my destination. Therefore, the famous tourist city has become the goal of my trip.

Planning a long-term trip, the route is the most important link. In order to design a smooth travel route, I first found a map of China and reviewed my geographical knowledge.

On this basis, each province and provincial capital city is marked.

Finally, according to my personal preference, I chose several provinces as the destinations of this trip. The specific principles of selection are:

1, the southern and southeastern provinces near the coast;

2. Places that haven't lived long or played deeply before (excluding Yunnan, Guangdong, Fujian and Hainan);

3 provinces with relatively developed tourism and good commercialization (ensuring convenient transportation);

4. Try to choose large and medium-sized cities (to ensure safe and transparent consumption);

5. Try to be adjacent to each other so as to design a high-speed rail tour route.

Under the above standards, Guangxi, Hunan, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong, Hebei, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Ningxia, Qinghai and Sichuan have been finalized.

After completing the above steps, we need some auxiliary tools for the next step.

I chose hornet's nest in many travel guide platforms to inquire about the basic situation of each city, such as main attractions and modes of transportation. (Disclaimer: Non-advertising, there are many similar platforms. The information I am looking for is just very common, so other brands can also meet the requirements. The choice only represents personal habits. )

After selecting several cities in each province, we use 12306 to determine in advance whether there are direct railways or buses between cities.

Starting from Guangdong and passing through Guangxi, Hunan, Jiangxi, Zhejiang and Jiangsu, there are basically high-speed trains, bullet trains and at least tourist buses. But when I started in Nanjing or Yangzhou and wanted to reach Shandong, I found that there was no high-speed train or bullet train, or even a direct boat to any coastal city in Shandong.

So, I simply gave up the route of Shandong, Hebei and Shanxi and flew directly from Jiangsu to Shaanxi. According to the preliminary plan, the whole trip will start in May, and it will enter the midsummer when it arrives in Shaanxi. Therefore, it was originally planned to enter Qinghai for the summer through Ningxia and then go to Sichuan.

At this point, the journey of about two months has taken shape. The following picture shows the route map I finalized in the planning stage. Depart from Shenzhen, transfer to Beihai in Guangxi via Guangzhou, pass Weizhou Island, Nanning, Hezhou, Yangshuo, Guilin, Hengyang, Changsha, Zhangjiajie, Changsha, Jiujiang, Nanchang, yingtan, Shangrao, Hangzhou, Hengdian, Shaoxing, Ningbo, Wuxi, Nanjing and Yangzhou along the way, and then fly to xi 'an via Yangzhou.

From Xi 'an, there are several schemes. One is to visit Qinghai Lake directly in Xining; The other is to go to Yinchuan first, then to Xining, and finally from Xining to Chengdu, with Emei Mountain as the end of the trip. Unfortunately, this part didn't come true in the end. In the next chapter, I will talk about the specific reasons for the change of itinerary.

When choosing a city, I have got a general understanding of each city. The next step is to screen and determine the final scenic spot or scenic spot. According to my personal preference, I choose the following basic principles:

1, mainly museums, famous mountains and rivers or natural landscapes;

2. Except for the particularly famous commercial pedestrian street, all commercial areas are not considered;

3. Try to choose scenic spots in the urban area or with convenient transportation;

4. Try to choose the scenic spots that can go back and forth in one day;

Although the mode of transportation is inconvenient, especially famous or interesting scenic spots can also be considered.

According to the above principles, after choosing the place you want to go among the main scenic spots introduced by Ma Honeycomb, you can estimate the stay time of each city and a preliminary itinerary is born.

After screening all the tourist destinations in all cities, it is necessary to manage the total travel time as a whole to ensure that the trip to the southeast coast and the central region will be completed before the summer vacation. After all, there are many tourist provinces and many places to go. If you go to them one by one, the overall travel time will be very long.

The adjustment method is to classify all scenic spots first, that is, divide them into business districts, ancient streets, museums, parks, natural/artificial scenic spots and ancient cities. On this basis, the stay time in each province will be controlled at around 1-3 weeks. If some places are obviously overtime, reduce the stay time by reducing similar attractions.

At the same time, in the long-term travel, what is more insufficient than time is actually physical strength. Therefore, between several high-intensity sightseeing cities, it is necessary to reserve 1-2 days for rest and adjustment. Don't arrange big or distant scenic spots at this time, you can sleep in the hotel and go for a walk in the nearest park or business circle.

After addition and subtraction, a more detailed itinerary was finalized. The next step is to study the specific action route and tour order of each target city.

The quickest way to know the whole picture of a city is to open its map. When making the specific itinerary of each city, I will observe the whole city through the map. Among them, the locations of airports, railway stations, bus stations, core business districts and key scenic spots will be marked.

The location of an important transportation hub determines which station to choose as the terminal and where to set up a hotel when arriving in this city.

If there is only one train station in a city, it will be easy. If the tour time is short, the hotel will be located near the station. If the time is long, you can choose key scenic spots or hotels near the city center.

But many cities have two or more railway stations. Among them, the old station will be the hub of ordinary trains, and the new station will be the hub of high-speed trains. However, the location of the new station is often biased (after all, it was built late), and the core business district, hotels and buses that go directly to scenic spots will all surround the old station. This poses a challenge to the hotel location, whether to choose an area that is convenient for sightseeing or an area that saves driving time. The principle of selection is the same as above, and it is decided according to the playing time.

The basic transportation and accommodation problems are solved, and the city map can also help us plan a reasonable tour route.

For example, divide long-distance and short-distance attractions into two batches, play long-distance first, take a day off in the middle and then concentrate on short-distance play; Or combine several similar small scenic spots into the same half-day; You can also combine the unplanned attractions found on the map with nearby planned attractions into one day; Even some remote scenic spots that are not particularly interesting have been cancelled directly.

In addition, a rough understanding of the overall topographic map of a city can help you quickly adjust your route when something goes wrong.

Of course, the way to obtain information through maps requires a higher sense of direction for travelers. Therefore, this approach may not be suitable for everyone.

When choosing accommodation, you will face two major problems: first, the type of accommodation, hotel or homestay? The second is the place to stay.

First of all, talk about the differences, advantages and disadvantages between hotels and homestays.

Hotels are often located in the core area, with convenient transportation and complete supporting facilities nearby, such as fast food restaurants, subways, buses and shopping malls. However, unless the accommodation budget is relatively high and the conditions are very general, it is not convenient to wash clothes and dry clothes.

Real homestays must be transformed from serviced apartments or residential buildings, and most of them can cook and wash clothes (provide washing machines). There may be a vegetable market and a large lifestyle supermarket around, but it may not be so convenient to reach the core attractions and stations.

Logically speaking, we should first decide the type of accommodation according to the size of the city, and then decide the location according to the specific itinerary. Because cities of different sizes, the maturity of hotels and homestays will vary greatly.

Cities with a higher degree of commercialization will have better overall accommodation conditions and slightly better hotel locations. In such a city, it is recommended to choose a homestay with convenient location. If the hotel location is not good, it is still recommended to choose a hotel.

However, in many small towns that only rely on one or two famous scenic spots to support tourism, the conditions of homestays are often unsatisfactory, or the location is not convenient for travel. Therefore, in such a city, it is recommended to choose a hotel close to the station or the core scenic spot.

In the choice of accommodation, I mentioned a little skill before, so I won't go into details. Add a set of formulas for choosing a place to stay:

Long-term+concentration of scenic spots: B&B near the core area

Long-term+lack of concentration of scenic spots: change to a place near the station or in the middle.

Short-term+concentration of scenic spots: hotels near the station or hotels/homestays near the core area.

The train was late/left early: I stayed in a hotel near the station that day.

County or a smaller place: choose a hotel, never choose a homestay.

Famous large-scale ecological area/scenic spot: live directly near the scenic spot.

After making a good tour route, approximate play time, cross-city transportation mode and accommodation place, we will start practical actions: booking air tickets and hotels.

If it is not the tourist season, it is generally best to book train tickets and air tickets about 3 weeks in advance. In this way, you can buy tickets with a big discount and choose a better position for the train.

I'll give you some advice on the choice of location. Many people prefer a window seat, and so do I. For short-term business trips or tours, it won't make any difference by the window. However, sitting on the same side all the time during long-term travel will cause unexpected problems: one arm will get suntanned than the other, and the face will get suntanned more easily. Therefore, when choosing a seat, change your choice habits appropriately, and be sure to do a good job of sun protection when riding!

If you stay, you don't have to stay too long in advance in the off-season, just about 2 weeks. Note that good homestays are in great demand, so it is no exaggeration to book two months in advance. As for the hotel, if you plan to stay near the station, you don't have to worry about finding a place to stay, whether you book in advance or not. It's hard to say near the scenic spot. If you don't book in advance, you may not be able to book a cost-effective room type.

If the planning happens to be a small holiday, you must calculate the date of ticket purchase, and buy the ticket at that time on the first day of ticket release, otherwise it is likely to affect your later trip.

In the tourist season of small holidays, B&B bookings are even more popular! So try to book the hotel as soon as possible after the itinerary is confirmed. The result of booking late is that you can't grab a cost-effective homestay! When I booked Hangzhou B&B on Dragon Boat Festival, I really experienced the moment when I decided to place an order after browsing. "Having a room" has become "no room". In addition, hotels are also very popular in the tourist season, but they will not be booked, but will be more expensive.

Therefore, in the off-season, whether it is a hotel or a homestay, even if it is not booked in advance, the problem is not big. In order to make the journey more planned and leisurely, it is recommended to book in advance. There is no need to disturb the pace and mood of travel because of the accident of just arriving in a strange city. But if it is the peak season, just remember: the sooner the better! And when choosing, once you like it and have a high cost performance, don't hesitate to do it! Otherwise, if you hesitate for a few seconds, the opportunity will be lost!

Air ticket: I am used to using "where to go". Ctrip or flying pig can also be used.

Train ticket: 12306, unofficial APP is not recommended. Although some seat selection functions are introduced informally, they all need to be added.

Hotel: I also use "where to go", and Ctrip and Flying Pig are similar.

B&B: If you order B&B in China, short rent Piggy is better than Airbnb. I found all the B&Bs in the pig. Southeast coastal cities may have some niche and localized Internet B&Bs to book applications. Although I contacted the landlord through the pig, I used the local app when I checked in and used it. However, the latter does not affect the former. After all, when choosing and booking, everyone will choose an APP with wider coverage and greater influence.
