Sichuan-Tibetan Highway

Route: Chengdu-Ya 'an-Luding-Kangding-xinduqiao-Yajiang-Litang-Daocheng-Batang-Mangkang-Zuogong-Bangda-Basu-Ranwu-Bomi-Tongmai-Lulang-Linzhi-Lhasa.

Mileage: 2142km

This is a conventional road to Tibet, but it is indeed a difficult road. To talk about scenery, this line has; It's thrilling, and it's also in this business. From Chengdu to Lhasa, we have to cross more than 10 passes of more than 4,000 meters, crossing the Dadu River, Jinsha River, Lancang River and Nujiang River, with snow-capped mountains, lakes and Haizi overlapping. On the road, you will see great rivers and mountains.

Scenery:

Xinduqiao: It's about 3,300 meters above sea level. There are no outstanding attractions here, because it is the scenery itself. It is a fascinating "photography paradise", located at the fork of the north-south line of National Highway 3 18, and it is a picturesque paradise. Magical light, boundless grasslands, winding streams, golden poplars, rolling mountains, Tibetan villages scattered among them, cattle and sheep grazing peacefully ... The scenery in the western Sichuan plain is beautiful.

Daocheng Aden: This is "the last pure land on the blue planet", which is mainly composed of three sacred mountains, namely "Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong and Shanuoduoji" and surrounding rivers, lakes and alpine meadows. When you come to Daocheng Aden in autumn, you will pass through Sangdui (a small town) before entering Daocheng Aden. The scenery in autumn is beautiful and colorful. Close to the red grassland, far away from Yang Shulin, there are houses in the distance, followed by snow-capped mountains, leading to Daocheng Aden.

Ranwu Lake: A dammed lake formed by landslides or mudslides blocking rivers, near the Sichuan-Tibet Highway. However, the quietness and depth of Ranwu Lake are unforgettable, and standing by the lake is like a fairyland.

Linzhi: In the southeast of Tibet, the middle and lower reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River. Linzhi in spring is heaven. Peach blossoms are in full bloom, wheat seedlings are green, sky blue, water green and mountain green. Peach blossoms in spring are the characteristics of Linzhi. There is pink in the south of the Yangtze River and purity in the plateau.

Yunnan-Tibet line

Route: Kunming-Dali-Lijiang-Shangri-La-Deqin-Yanjing-Mangkang-Zuogong-Bangda-Basu-Ranwu-Bomi-Tongmai-Lulang-Linzhi-Lhasa

Mileage: 2,476 kilometers

The Yunnan-Tibet line is a route with ethnic customs, a gathering place for ethnic minorities and a strong cultural landscape. In Yunnan, you can see many ancient cities, which still maintain their original appearance. Because I entered Tibet from Yunnan, I didn't experience the thrilling journey from Chengdu to Mangkang. In addition to the scenery in Tibet, the landform on this line in Yunnan is also the most important. In winter, Yuanyang terraces are sparkling and foggy in the sun.

Scenery:

Cangshan Erhai Lake: Slow down and immerse yourself in it. I was moved by it when I came to Dali. Stop here and feel a kind of slowness.

Meili Snow Mountain: "If you can catch a glimpse of Meili's true face, you will be lucky for a whole year". Comparable to Gangrenboqi in Tibet, Anima Qing in Qinghai and Gaduojuevo in Qinghai, Meili is considered as an invincible mountain, and worshippers can be seen on the road.

Yuanyang Terrace: Yuanyang Terrace is located in Yuanyang County, south of Ailao County, Yunnan Province. It is a masterpiece handed down from generation to generation by the Hani people. Terraces cultivated by Hani people in Yuanyang are adapted to local conditions according to the changes of mountain topography. If the slope is gentle, the farmland will be cultivated, and if the slope is steep, the farmland will be cultivated, even under the ditch. Therefore, there are several acres of terraces, and the small ones are only as big as dustpans, and often there are thousands of acres on a slope. Yuanyang Terrace is the core area of Hani Terrace in Honghe. In winter, the Yuanyang terraced fields are sparkling and smoky under the sunshine, and the whole village seems to be in a fairyland. Route: Xining-Chaka-Dulan-Golmud-Nachitai-Xidatan-Kunlun Pass-Wudaoliang-Tuotuoheyan-Yanshiping-Tanggula Pass-Amdo-Naqu-Dangxiong-Yangbajing-Lhasa

Mileage:1917km

The Qinghai-Tibet line starts in Xining and ends in Lhasa. All the way is empty and I don't know the end. The Qinghai-Tibet line is easy, but there will be high opposition. The roads are all asphalt avenues, so there won't be too many bumps.

Scenery:

Qinghai Lake: This is the largest lake in the inland. July and August are the most beautiful seasons in Qinghai. Not only the beauty of the lake, but also a large area of rape flowers. With the endless lake and the blue sky and white clouds overhead, the Buddha fell into this painting.

Chaka Salt Lake: It shines like a mirror in the sky. Looking into the distance, I don't know what is heaven and what is earth. There is no boundary between the lake and the sky, just like walking in the clouds.

Hoh Xil: Crossing the Kunlun Mountain Pass, you will reach the no-man's land. Standing on this land, you feel very small.

Namco: The holy lake at high altitude, where the purity has always been there. There are countless sacred mountains and lakes in Tibet. Namco is one of them, and the beauty here is worth spending a day to experience.

Xinzang highway

Route: Urumqi-Shilidian-Toksun-Wushtala-Korla-Luntai-Lunnan-Minfeng-Yutian-Qira-Hotan-Yecheng-Di Ku Daban-Li Sanjunying-Dahongliutan-Dead Man's Ditch-Jieshan Daban-Ritu-Shiquanhe-Baga-Hall-Payang-Zhongba-etc.

Mileage: 4,365 kilometers

This is more challenging than the Sichuan-Tibet line. As the most dangerous one of the four roads into Tibet, when you look around, there are only boundless Gobi desert and mountains on this line, and there is no no man's land stretching for hundreds of miles, leaving only grandeur.

Scenery:

Ban Gong Cuo, also known as Cuomo Angra Hongbo, means "long-necked swan" in Tibetan, and is the highest bird island in the world. Located at the northwest 12km of Ritu County in Ali region, it is an inland lake at the junction of Ritu County and Kashmir in China. Bangong CuO is long and narrow, with half of the lake in China and half in Indian-controlled Kashmir. Interestingly, due to the different salt content in the lake, it is a fresh water lake in China, while it is a salt water lake outside.

Who would have thought that there is a dynasty that has been passed down for more than 700 years in the hinterland of the deserted Ali area?
