From April 25, 2023, a three-day meeting of heads of delegation for the Hangzhou Asian Games was held in Hangzhou, and representatives from 45 Asian countries and regions attended the meeting. 15 June, the countdown to the Hangzhou Asian Games 100 days, the fire of the Asian Games was successfully collected in Damojiao Mountain, Liangzhu Ancient City Ruins Park, Hangzhou.

All the Olympic Committees in 45 countries (regions) of the OCA registered, and the number of athletes reached12,500, the highest in history.

On May 6, 2022, the Olympic Council of Asia announced in official website that it had decided to postpone the19th Asian Games scheduled to be held in Hangzhou, China in September 2022 to September 25, 2022, and the new date will be announced in the near future.

On July/KOOC-0/9, 2022, the OCA announced that the Hangzhou 2022/KOOC-0/9 Asian Games, originally scheduled to be held from September/KOOC-0/0 to September 25, 2022, will be held from September 23 to June 8, 2023, and its name will still be Hangzhou/KOOC-0/9 Asian Games. The name and logo of the event remain unchanged.
