Tips:

Seda has no trains or planes at present.

The traffic in Seda is very inconvenient, so you can only go by car or chartered car. Foreign tourists generally need to arrive in Chengdu first, and then take car ferry. If you can't buy a shuttle bus, you can also ask about the chartered bus from Wuhou Temple to Seda. There are many Tibetans there, generally 200-300 yuan per person. If the journey is smooth, it takes 1 a whole day from Chengdu to Seda. If the weather is bad or there is traffic jam, you need to stop in Marcand or Kangding for one night and arrive in Seda the next day.

If you want to fly, the nearest airport is Kangding Airport, or charter a car directly from the airport (it is difficult to find a car, and it will be expensive, and no one will carpool, or go back to Kangding and take the next day's shuttle bus to Seda, which takes two days on the way, which is very expensive and not recommended.

public transportation

1, Chengdu-Seda

Chengdu Tea Shop Changtu Station has a direct bus to Seda. Tickets for the day of travel can be booked three days in advance through Sichuan bus ticketing network. The shuttle bus arrived in Seda on the same day, and its destination was sertar county. There are also many buses from the county seat to the Buddhist College, usually in 7 yuan.

On the first day, I arrived in Kangding by bus from Chengdu Xinnanmen Bus Station and stayed for one night that night.

The next day, I arrived in Seda by bus via Luhuo.

be self-drive

Self-driving Seda is a very good choice. Many tourists hope to drive to Seda, a Buddhist country, and enjoy the magnificent scenery of the western Sichuan Plateau along the way. However, the highways in western Sichuan are very dangerous and the routes are complicated. Not familiar with road conditions or novice drivers, self-driving is not recommended. Moreover, the local altitude is high and it is easy to get tired when driving. If you are not fully prepared, please don't rush. The road from Marcand to Seda is in poor condition, and the road near Seda is even worse. Self-driving friends suggest off-road vehicles.

About 80 kilometers of roads from Weng to Seda are also being built, and traffic control has taken place. But sometimes it is unilateral traffic, the road conditions are poor, and the journey takes about 9 hours.

The specific self-driving route is as follows:

1, Chengdu (expressway, 60km- Yingxiu (G317,260 km-Malcolm (G317,200 km-Onda Village (V 18 County Road, 63km- Seda Larong Wuming Buddhist College).

The whole journey is 580km, and it takes at least 12 hours. Chengying Expressway is easy to walk. When you get off the highway, you may encounter traffic jams. The national highway is not good, there are many cars, and the driving speed will not be very fast. Wenchuan-Marcand has good road conditions, few cars and good scenery, which can be enjoyed. The road conditions in Marcand-Seda are not good, especially after getting off the national highway from Wengda village.

2. Chengdu (Chengya Expressway,130km-Ya 'an (3 18 national highway,194km-Kangding (3 18 national highway, 75.8km-xinduqiao (2 15 provincial highway).

The whole journey is 742km, and it takes at least 16 hours to drive. Chengdu to Ya 'an is a high-speed, very fast. After you leave Ya 'an, you will get on the 3 18 national highway, and there will be more trucks going to Luding Road, which is narrow and easy to get stuck in traffic. After arriving in xinduqiao via Kangding, the scenery of this section of the road is very good. Consider staying in Kangding or xinduqiao for one night. Xinduqiao-Luhuo is the provincial highway 2 15, which will pass through Tagong grassland. The road is not good, but the scenery is beautiful, so you can walk and play. The road from Luhuo to Seda is not easy, especially after getting off the national road from Wengda Village.

Pack or join a group.

The journey from Chengdu to Seda is usually 4 days, including 2.5 days on the road and only 1.5 days for sightseeing. You can take a bus at Xinnanmen or Chadianzi Station. Of course, you need to confirm the specific departure times and time at the ticket office. It's a long way, like 16 hours. It is recommended to report to the local travel agency in Chengdu. To be honest, carpooling in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau will be very difficult. Don't think it's cheaper to go to these places independently than to join a tour group. On the contrary.
