Confirmed! Another 5A scenic spot announced that it will be permanently free and the list of scenic spot discounts during the Spring Festival is here

The Spring Festival holiday is here!

A few days ago, another 5A scenic spot announced that it will be permanently free for all tourists.

According to the "Nanxun Release" news, Huzhou Nanxun District held a press conference with the theme of "Free Tour of Ancient Towns and Yangtze River Delta Parent-Child Paradise", officially announcing that from now on, Nanxun Ancient Town Scenic Area will be permanently free of charge and open to all tourists around the world. The scenic area is an ancient town block of 2.18 square kilometers.

Nanxun Ancient Town is located in Huzhou, the core hinterland of the Yangtze River Delta. It is famous for its silk. Within a ten-mile radius, there are many Jiangnan courtyards such as Xiaolianzhuang, Zhang Shiming’s former residence, and Zhang Jingjiang’s former residence. The buildings here are a combination of Chinese and Western styles. It is one of the four major libraries in Jiangnan. The first "Jiaye Hall Library" is located in Xiaolianzhuang. The ancient town presents a poetic and picturesque water town style based on its profound historical and cultural heritage. It is known as the "cover of Jiangnan in China" and is the only national 5A-level scenic spot in Huzhou City. In June 2014, Nanxun Ancient Town was included in the World Heritage List as part of the Grand Canal of China, becoming the first Jiangnan ancient town to be selected as a World Heritage Site.

After the implementation of the permanent free policy, 6 cultural relics buildings including Xiaolianzhuang in the Nanxun Ancient Town Scenic Area will be set as paid attractions, and tourists can choose to visit according to their wishes. During the Spring Festival this year, in addition to the all-free policy for scenic spots in Nanxun Ancient Town, a number of preferential activities including cruises, catering, accommodation, etc. will also be implemented simultaneously.

It is reported that free admission to 5A scenic spots seems to have gradually become an important starting point for many places in Zhejiang to move from scenic spot tourism to all-region tourism. The first place to eat crabs is the West Lake Scenic Area in Hangzhou. In October 2002, Hangzhou demolished the wall surrounding the West Lake and implemented a 24-hour free park around the lake. The West Lake Scenic Area became the first 5A-level scenic spot in the country that does not charge tickets. Many people know the story that follows: the number of tourists has increased year by year, and the scenic spot has become famous all over the world. After Lu Xun's hometown in Shaoxing and Guoqing Scenic Area in Tiantai Mountain in Zhejiang became free, the number of visitors to the two scenic spots also increased significantly.
