There are more than 200 ginkgo trees with DBH of 50~ 150 cm in Tole Village, Panzhou City, western Guizhou Province. These ginkgo trees are very old, and the longest one is 1500 years, usually more than 300 years, so it has become the place with the highest density of ginkgo trees in the world, and Tole has the title of the hometown of ancient ginkgo trees in the world.

As early as 600 years ago, Tole Village was actually a Yi Nationality Village. At that time, there were no Han people, let alone ginkgo trees. Then how do ginkgo trees connect with Tole Village? These are all related to the soldiers led by Fu Youde in the Ming Dynasty.

Six hundred years ago, Zhu Yuanzhang moved from north to south, and soldiers led by General Fu Youde came to Toler village in Panzhou, stationed in Toler, turned the army into the people, and survived in this mountain far from home. They serve the people in peacetime, serve the army in wartime, cultivate the land, be self-sufficient and live a happy life. Only missing their distant hometown is the pain in their hearts. This group of soldiers have lived here for generations. When they leave their hometown, no one will think that their hometown will never go back, and they can only meet in their dreams.

These soldiers are all from Nanjing, which has a long history of planting ginkgo trees. As a result, Nanjing soldiers planted ginkgo trees in this small mountain village on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, far from home, to express their yearning for their hometown. Looking at the ginkgo tree with golden leaves, they will think of the mountains and rivers in their hometown and the villagers in their hometown.

Unexpectedly, 500 years later, these ginkgo trees have become national 4A-level scenic spots. After hundreds of years of growth, ginkgo trees have dressed Tole Village into a beautiful village with beautiful scenery, towering ancient trees and flowing bridges.

Tolegu Ginkgo Scenic Area is located in stonebridge, Panzhou City, 25 kilometers away from the new city of Guo Hong. It is open all day and can be reached by bus from Guo Hong Bus Station. The fare is 20 yuan, and the journey takes 40 minutes.
