Introduction of Huqiu Scenic Area

1 Huqiu Mountain Scenic Area is located in the northwest corner of the ancient city of Suzhou and has a long history of more than 2,500 years. It has the reputation of "the first scene in Wuzhong" and "the first mountain in Wuzhong". Su Dongpo, a great poet in the Song Dynasty, wrote the famous sentence "It is a debt to Gusu not to visit the Tiger Hill or worship Gusu". It has been rated as the first batch of demonstration sites of the top ten civilized scenic spots in China, national AAAAA-level scenic spots and national civilized units.

2. Huqiu Mountain is 34.3 meters above sea level and covers an area of 0. 19 square kilometers. The mountain is composed of Jurassic volcanic magma, and rocks such as Qianrenshi, Jianshi and Jianchi are rhyolite. Jurassic volcanic rocks are distributed under the Quaternary alluvium in the whole plain area in the east, north and west directions of Huqiu.

3. The existing area of the scenic spot is 100 hectare, and the protected area is 475.9 hectares. Tiger Hill, as an important tourist window in Suzhou, has won numerous awards, and has been successively rated as the first batch of demonstration sites of China's top ten civilized scenic spots, national AAAAA-level scenic spots and national civilized units. According to historical records, Tiger Hill, formerly known as Haiyong Mountain, was buried by He Lv, the king of Wu. According to legend, three days after burial, there was a "white tiger crouching on it", hence the name Tiger Hill. The other is called "the mountain is like a crouching tiger", which is named after the shape. Tiger Hill is only more than 30 meters high, but it has the demeanor of "the table of Zuo Qiu Valley". It is the second leaning tower in the world, with a myriad of weather and 18 scenic spots, among which the most famous are Yunyan Temple Pagoda, Jianchi and Qianshi: Yunyan Temple Pagoda has a history of more than 1000 years and has become a landmark building in the ancient city of Suzhou.
