Where is Zhongwei 66 Road?

No.66 central defender is in shapotou district, Ningxia Zhongwei.

Zhongwei 66 Road, on the way from the urban area to the ancient village of Nanchangtan or Beichangtan, is called Zhongwei 66 Road because it has to pass through the undulating valley and the Yellow River. In some places, straight roads extend as far as the eyes can see.

Main attractions:

1 Shapotou Scenic Area is located at the southeast edge of Tengger Desert in the west of zhongwei, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. It starts from Erdaogou South Forest Protection Room in the east, reaches Toudaodun in the west, connects Tengger Desert in the north and the Yellow River in the south. It is about 38km long and 5km wide, with an altitude of 1, 300- 1, 500m, with a total area of 4,599.3 hectares, accounting for 3% of the total land area of zhongwei. It is one of the 20 key desertification control areas in China.

2. Zhongwei Sikou Scenic Area is located in the southeast of zhongwei, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, 50 kilometers away from zhongwei. In 2006, it was rated as a national AAA scenic spot by the National Tourism Administration. In 2008, it was awarded Ningxia Civilized Scenic Area by the Tourism Bureau of the Autonomous Region, the Construction Department of the Autonomous Region and the Civilization Office of the Autonomous Region.

3. Zhongwei High Temple is located in the north of zhongwei, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. It was built on a high platform connected with the city wall (including the Baoan Temple under the high platform). It is said that it was built in the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty (1403- 1424) and has been rebuilt for several generations. By the Qing dynasty, it had become a large-scale ancient building complex, showing the style of ancient buildings in Ningxia. It is as famous as the "desert wonder" and is one of the two major landscapes in Zhongwei.
