Brief introduction of Lu Xuzhang.

Lu Xuzhang (1911-1995), a native of Yinxian County, Zhejiang Province, is a financial worker and government official in China. People from Yinxian County, Zhejiang Province (now Yinzhou District, Ningbo City). He used to be the manager of China Import and Export Corporation. He is regarded as one of the pioneers and founders of China's foreign trade.

When Lu Xuzhang 14 years old, he went to Shanghai. He first worked as an intern in Shanghai Tong Yuan Shipping Company, attended night classes of Shanghai General Chamber of Commerce in his spare time, and took an active part in social activities.

1937 joined the China * * * production party, and later founded the vast number of Chinese businessmen's banks, which was a secret work organization in China. Subsequently, the bank actively expanded its business, set up branches in Chongqing, Guiyang, Chengdu, Kunming and other places, and successively established Minsheng Insurance Company, Fu Min Enterprise Co., Ltd. and other enterprises.

After the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), he has served as deputy minister of trade of East China Military and Political Commission, manager of China Import and Export Corporation, director and deputy minister of foreign trade department, president of overseas Chinese travel agency, director of National Tourism Administration, deputy director of State Import and Export Administration Committee and Foreign Investment Administration Committee, deputy minister of foreign trade and consultant of Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Trade. He is a member of the Committee of the Fourth, Fifth and Sixth China People's Political Consultative Conference.
