Overview of the World Federation of Tourism Cities

The press conference revealed that the Federation will hold the World Tourism City Beijing Xiangshan Summit and the World Tourism City Expo in Beijing this year, during which the first general meeting of the Federation will be held and the first Council will be produced.

With the theme of "Better City Life through Tourism", the World Federation of Tourism Cities is positioned as a non-profit international non-governmental organization voluntarily formed by tourism-related institutions of major tourist cities in the world, and it is a mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation and development platform for world tourist cities. The Federation will devote itself to promoting exchanges and cooperation among member cities, sharing tourism development experiences, discussing urban tourism development issues, strengthening cooperative development of tourism markets, improving the level of tourism development, and promoting the coordinated economic and social development of world tourism cities.

Federation headquarters permanently settled in Beijing. The main joint bodies include the General Assembly, the Council and the Secretariat. The Federation holds a general election every five years.
