The "Interim Measures for the Administration of Chinese Citizens Traveling to Hong Kong or Macao for Private Matters" stipulates:

Article 8: One of the following circumstances , you can apply for a short-term trip to Hong Kong and Macau:

(1) If you have close relatives who have settled in Hong Kong or Macau and need to visit;

(2) Direct relatives or close relatives Taiwan compatriots must go to Hong Kong and Macao to visit relatives with their relatives in the mainland;

(3) Immediate relatives, brothers and sisters of returned overseas Chinese and immediate relatives of overseas Chinese are not allowed to return to the mainland to visit relatives, and must go to Hong Kong and Macao meeting. ?

(4) Those who must go to Hong Kong or Macao to deal with property;

(5) There are other special circumstances that require a short-term trip to Hong Kong or Macao.
