What are the tax regulations for returning to China when traveling abroad to buy goods?
China Customs has to pay taxes. At present, it is stipulated that more than 5000 yuan is taxed, and the tax rates vary from place to place. What you take out should be recorded. 1. Entry resident passengers carry articles for personal use obtained from abroad with a total value of less than 5,000 yuan (including 5,000 yuan); If a non-resident passenger intends to stay in China with articles for personal use with a total value of less than 2,000 yuan (including 2,000 yuan), the customs will release them duty-free, and a single variety is limited to personal use and a reasonable quantity, but tobacco products, alcoholic products and 20 kinds of commodities that should be taxed according to state regulations will be handled separately.
Two, the entry resident passengers carrying more than 5000 yuan of imported goods for their own use, which is really for their own use after examination by the customs; If the inbound non-resident passengers carry articles intended to stay in China for their own use, and the amount exceeds RMB 2,000, the customs will only levy taxes on the articles for their own use that exceed the amount, and the undivided articles will be fully taxed.
Three, the provisions on the collection and exemption of luggage and articles of passengers who travel many times in a short period of time, as well as the standards for inspection and release, shall be stipulated separately.
According to Announcement No.7 of the General Administration of Customs of China in 2004, 20 kinds of goods that are not exempt from duty are: TV sets, video cameras, video recorders, players, audio equipment, air conditioners, refrigerators (freezers), washing machines, cameras, copiers, program-controlled telephone exchanges, microcomputers and peripheral equipment, telephones, wireless paging systems, fax machines, electronic counters, typewriters and word processors, and furniture.
The tax on ordinary goods is as follows:
Mobile phone: 150 yuan/Taiwan
Notebook computer: 1000 yuan/set
Desktop host: 400 yuan/Taiwan.
Host and monitor integrated machine: 600 yuan/Taiwan.
Digital camera: 400 yuan/Taiwan
Milk powder, coffee and tea: 20 yuan/kg.
MP3: 20 yuan/Taiwan
MP4 display screen below 2 inches: 100 Yuan/set
MP4 display screen is more than 2 inches: 200 yuan/set.
U disk: 20 yuan/unit.
High-end watches (duty paid price 10000 yuan or more): customs valuation ×30%. Under normal circumstances, newly bought brand-name bags, clothes and cosmetics for personal use have to be taxed when they are brought back to the country. Because there are tags on them, the customs will treat them as commodities. If they are treated as commodities, they must pay taxes.

Those who stay in China for less than six months can carry 400 cigarettes; Those who stay for more than six months can carry 400 cigarettes;

2. Those who stay in China for less than six months can bring two bottles of alcoholic beverages (0.75 kg); Those who stay for more than six months can bring four bottles of alcoholic beverages (0.75 kg);
3. Chinese medicines and proprietary Chinese medicines can take 300 yuan medicines abroad at most when they leave the country; Each person can take 150 yuan medicine to Hong Kong and Macao at most; It is strictly forbidden to bring drugs exceeding the standard into the country;
4. Appropriate amount of perfume for gifts (for personal use);

6. Cultural relics leaving the country Where cultural relics are exported, they must obtain permission from People's Republic of China (PRC) before leaving the country;
7. Electronic equipment enters any of the following equipment: cameras, portable tape recorders, portable movie cameras, portable cameras and portable computers;
8. To sum up, when you bring clothes and cosmetics back to China, you can generally bring items with a value of no more than RMB 5,000. Articles over 5000 yuan will be taxed if they are brought back to China. The tax rate depends on the value of the goods. Electronic products and laptops are generally taxed at 20%. If it exceeds the standard of China Customs, it will be taxed, and the upper limit is 5,000 RMB.
