What's the experience of working in KFC?
I worked as an intern at McDonald's during my summer vacation (because I have no part-time experience at KFC, this article only writes about McDonald's), and I went in as a trainee receptionist. McDonald's has a complete set of staff training plans. Whether it is a summer internship or a part-time job at ordinary times, there are opportunities for promotion and they are all equal.
to answer lz's question first, McDonald's employees basically don't have a working meal, but only have a meal on Saturday. Usually, they can only enjoy a 5% discount on their employee cards on working days (excluding the set meal, which is actually not a discount), but it seems that they can get another hamburger+drink for free when they work all night. This is not clear.
Actually, you don't have to worry about the hygiene of McDonald's kitchen. At first, I thought it would be dirty, but after I went in, I found it was very clean, much cleaner than I expected.
every employee should wash their hands or use disposable disinfectant before going to work.
Kitchen cooking is basically a process of making semi-finished products into finished products, such as chicken chops and beef, which have been marinated in bags, removed and heated in a designated machine, and then added with lettuce and other ingredients to make hamburgers.
other products are basically this process.
It's worth noting that McDonald's has its own set of strict production processes, such as putting the French fries down and frying them for a few minutes, flipping them several times when the machine rings, how to sprinkle salt, adding a few spoonfuls of ice to drinks, and turning Oreo biscuits twice in the wheat cyclone. The training is really detailed, so even people without any experience know what to do after training.
(By the way, I didn't know until I went to work at McDonald's that hamburgers can be eaten without cheese and other seasonings, and there are options at the cashier's office without informing the chef. Then the back kitchen will "customize" the hamburger and label it. In fact, I think this move is in place, and it really makes customers feel good ~~)
I don't know about the relationship between managers and employees in other stores, but everyone in my store is very open and happy.
I remember that on my first day at work, the restaurant informed me that I would go rafting tomorrow, with free play and 8 hours' salary. I didn't want to go when I heard about the tour, because I didn't know everyone well, but my eyes lit up when I heard about the eight-hour salary, hahaha. I also met a nice aunt and told me a lot about the restaurant.
Actually, McDonald's has done a good job in employee welfare. Many aunts are willing to work at McDonald's because of McDonald's social security and welfare.
and you are paid for overtime work, and all-night classes will also be subsidized. However, every employee has a working time limit every month. Part-time employees cannot exceed 12h/ month, and regular employees cannot exceed 16h/ month (except managers). Therefore, those who want to take a part-time job and get a high salary should not expect too much ~
The slogan of McDonald's is "Let's be together".
This sentence fully embodies the humanistic care spirit of McDonald's. Even the management is in harmony with the employees. If you don't look at the position, you may not know who the boss is. When I entered McDonald's, I was met by the assistant manager.
after a simple interview, she told me that I would become a receptionist, and the promotion process was as follows: trainee receptionist-receptionist-restaurant promotion representative (in fact, you usually see people wearing pink clothes and playing games with children without hats)-manager XX-manager XX-deputy store manager-store manager, etc. Well, my memory is too bad, so am I.
the night I signed the contract, my boss L added my WeChat. The next day, I started one-on-one training, guiding me to patrol stores, find and solve problems, and check employees' gfd. (McDonald's employees must iron their work clothes before going to work, otherwise the manager will definitely ask you to go to the lounge to change and iron them before coming out.)
My main job in this position is to decorate the restaurant according to the requirements of every promotion, communicate with the manager in advance about materials, give training to employees, give customers the best and warmest service experience, give children a birthday party, play games with children and so on.
L has been working in McDonald's for more than two years. He is nice and patient, and he is the same year as me, but he came out to work earlier than me. I was secretly surprised, but I still listened carefully to her and took notes.
then something happened the next day that I will never forget in my life. Boss l just had a rest to play, and suddenly there was a task at the headquarters: one piece-themed activities. All kinds of decorative tools are in place, but l is not here. But everything must be decorated before that night to welcome tomorrow's promotion. At that time, the manager had no choice but to call me to the meeting, telling me that these must be finished tonight, and encouraging me to do well.
at that time, I secretly complained: I just went to work for a day, and I haven't been trained in those things. What's embarrassing is that I haven't touched them! But on the other hand, I admire them for giving me such a big promotion. All right, I'll bite the bullet and do it.
As a result, my IQ was twice as high as usual, so I assembled the materials and packed the dolls until 12 o'clock at night. Although there was a little flaw in the back, the manager told L about it the next day and praised me. When l told me, I was really happy. I felt praised as soon as I came in, and I was very satisfied.
once, because I had to go to the counter to help during the busy period, and then I was unfamiliar with the process, my hands and feet were too slow to be said by a manager, which was very uncomfortable. At that time, I almost cried. As a result, the assistant store and my boss L came to comfort me and loudly blamed the manager for letting me come here because I was not familiar with the process. At that time, my heart was really warm. At McDonald's, even if you make a mistake, the management will not blame you too much, but will teach you again slowly until you know it.
then another thing happened. At that time, I was just a trainee receptionist, and I had to pass the exam to become a formal receptionist.
McDonald's has its own assessment system and examination system. Everyone must log on to take the exam, once in a while. And it's not just an online exam, but also an assessment of trainers. Consider the promotion of employees after combining the two aspects.
once it was my turn to take an exam. P has been working for more than a year, and has been promoted to a trainer to assess me. In fact, it is almost the same as usual, washing hands, cashier, sorting out counters, placing orders and so on. But at that time, she kept urging me (just like you usually know how to drive, but you can't do it correctly when the coach is yelling at you during the driver's license test ...), and then I messed up the steps, and she began to blame me, which was very strict.
As a result, I actually cried ... Well, I really cried. O (╯□ ╰) The manager called me to the office, and as a result, I kept crying, and he kept comforting me (the manager is a man). I admit that I'm from blx, but the manager is really patient, and he keeps giving me tissues and chatting with me for more than half an hour. Funny to say, he said you should stop crying, okay? Take your time. I actually said: I just can't stop ... It's really o(╯□╰)o now that I think about it, but I benefited a lot at that time. A store manager, who is willing to spend his precious time to enlighten you, is so patient and handsome. O(∩_∩)O
Later, for various reasons, I resigned, but not because of the bad working environment, and I didn't aspire to develop in the catering industry. One day after a long time, I sent a circle of friends: we stopped and walked all the way, and we didn't know what we wanted more and more. I was in a very confused period at that time.
and the manager left a message below: McDonald's welcomes you back at any time.
when I saw it, I couldn't help crying. I think I will work hard no matter what. When I achieve something, I will go back to McDonald's, see the manager, chat with him and tell him: thank you, and thank McDonald's for moving me.
