Type 2: Introduction to Jiuhuashan Temple Fair: Originated in the Tang Dynasty. According to legend, Jin Qiaojue, a monk from Silla, came to Jiuhuashan to open a Tibetan Dojo in the last years of Tang Kaiyuan (765,438+03 ~ 742) and spent 75 years in penance. He died on July 30th of the lunar calendar at the age of 99. Jin Qiaojue's body has been in the jar for three years, and his whole body is not bad. He looks lifelike, shaking his joints like a golden lock. According to the Buddhist scriptures, the voice of the golden lock skull is the response of the bodhisattva to the world. Therefore, the disciples regarded him as the reincarnation of the Bodhisattva, honoring him as the king of gold, and built a pagoda in Shenguangling to worship him. Time: Around the 30th day of the seventh lunar month (birthday of Tibetan Bodhisattva), which usually lasts for one month. Venue: Tiantai Mountain (Tiantai Temple) and various temples Activities: Believers and pilgrims from all over the world gathered in Jiuhua Mountain to pay homage to the stupa and worship the rooftop. The third kind: introduction of Buddha's birthday: Sakyamuni's birthday, the day when Buddhists celebrate Buddha's birthday, is the biggest festival in Buddhism. When Sakyamuni was born, a dragon drenched his body with showers. Therefore, every Buddha's birthday, monks and nuns will gather in the main hall of the temple to worship Buddhist scriptures, and wash siddhattha gotama with fragrant soup, which is called the Buddha Bathing Club. During the Buddha-Dharma bath, the temple will not only provide vegetarian food for monks, but also hold activities such as crossing the dead (burning the sacred flame and burning Falun Gong).
