The scenic spot is divided into south gate, west gate and north gate, and most tourists will enter and exit from the south gate. There are two entrances and exits at the south gate, near Tangkou Town at the foot of the mountain. The town has also become a transit point for visiting Huangshan Mountain, and many tourists will stay here for one night in advance. Tangkou Town needs to take the shuttle bus from Huangshan New Country Line to the entrance of the scenic spot and stop at Qian Shan Mountain Gate (Ciguang Pavilion), Houshan Mountain Gate (Yungu Temple) and Huangshan Hot Spring.
Sightseeing in the scenic spot is mainly divided into two uphill routes, Qianshan and Houshan, both of which lead to Guangmingding, one of the main peaks. On the other side of Guangmingding, there is also a ring road-Xihai Grand Canyon.
front range
Qian Shan refers to the climbing route from Ciguang Pavilion to Yupinglou at the top of the mountain (you can take Yuping cableway directly), and the areas around Lotus Peak and Tiandufeng at the top of the mountain. Qian Shan has beautiful scenery, which is very suitable for overlooking by cableway. Lotus Peak, the main peak, and Tiandu Peak, another main peak, are both here (the two peaks are alternately open), and there are also classic attractions such as welcoming pine, crucian carp back, baibu ladder, Yixiantian and Tianhai.
This mountain
Houshan refers to the climbing route from Yungu Temple to Baieling (which can be directly reached by Yungu cableway), as well as the peak areas such as Shixin Peak, Lion Peak and Paiyunge behind Baieling. The scenery of the back mountain is mostly exquisite mountain scenery, which is suitable for walking all the way. Flying stones and monkeys watching the sea are here.
Xihai Great Canyon
Xihai Grand Canyon is a newly opened scenic spot in recent years, with deep canyons and magnificent scenery. Known as the real gathering place of Huangshan Mountain. Xihai Grand Canyon can enter from Paiyun Pavilion at the top of Houshan Mountain, and return to the main peak of Tianhai after a circle. It takes about 2 hours to walk from Paiyun Pavilion to the bottom of the valley, and then you can take a cable car to Tianhai.
Route recommendation
The regular tour of Huangshan Mountain is a two-day tour. The route is divided into Qianshan and Houshan (Qianshan-Xihai Grand Canyon-Houshan) and Houshan Qianshan (Houshan-Xihai Grand Canyon-Qianshan). It is suitable for going up the mountain by cableway and walking down the mountain to relax, and it is also good for the exquisite scenery in the second half. However, because the essence route of Xihai Grand Canyon is from Paiyun Pavilion to Tianhai, we must go back.
You can also visit Huangshan in just one day, but the itinerary is relatively tight. It is suggested to take the cableway when going up and down from Houshan Mountain, and choose not to climb the main peak of Qianshan Mountain (Lotus Peak/Tiandu Peak) or not to go to Xihai Grand Canyon.
Accommodation choice
There are many places to stay at the top of the mountain, mainly concentrated in Guangmingding Tianhai, Paiyunge, Baieling, Beihai and other areas. Guangmingding Tianhai is a good place to watch the sunrise, and it is also suitable for luggage to play in Xihai Grand Canyon. Bai 'eling is the last stop of the Yungu cableway in Houshan, and generally enters the scenic spot from Houshan in the afternoon. This place is more suitable for living.
