Which filter is better for taking pictures?

There are nine kinds of filters used in photography, they are: UV mirror, polarizer, medium gray mirror, medium gray gradient mirror, reverse medium gray gradient mirror, color filter, close-up lens and special effect filter. They are generally made of glass (high-end products), resin and polycarbonate.

Let's introduce four kinds of filters necessary for cinematographers when shooting:

UV mirror/protective mirror

UV mirror is the most familiar and commonly used one, which can be installed for a long time in daily shooting to protect expensive lenses. However, in long exposure (such as night scene and starry sky), or shooting at the light source with a small aperture (such as shooting the star-shaped sun), it is suggested to temporarily remove this protective mirror to avoid taking pictures of dust on the mirror or causing light problems.
