Brief introduction of geological park

Guangdong Zhongshan Huangpu Provincial Geopark has three parks: marine erosion site, Huangpu Park and ancient banyan tree park, as well as corresponding exhibition venues and other supporting software and hardware facilities. Among them, the marine ruins in the Marine Ruins Park are the largest marine ruins found in the coastal areas of Guangdong so far, and also one of the few most well-preserved marine ruins in Guangdong, covering an area of about 2,500 mu and stretching for 300 meters, with unique scientific and aesthetic values.

Due to long-term weathering, cracks and spalling have appeared in the rock layers of marine erosion sites, forming various mountain wonders such as Yuquan Cave, Chuangoujing, Biguanshi, Buffalo Stone and Dishuiyan. In 20 15, the marine erosion site was approved to build a provincial geological park, which is the only park in the province with the theme of marine erosion site so far. After five years of construction, Guangdong Zhongshan Huangpu Provincial Geopark successfully passed the assessment and acceptance, and the municipal government approved its opening to the outside world.
