What is community tourism?

As for the definition of community tourism, there is currently no generally accepted definition. In China, the definition given by Tang Shuntie (1998) is often quoted: considering the construction of tourist destinations from the perspective of the community, and taking the community’s Interaction theory guides the overall planning and layout of tourist areas, improves the efficiency of tourism flows by optimizing the structure of tourist communities, and seeks to coordinate, unify, and optimize the economic, environmental, and social benefits of the tourism industry and tourist destinations. Community tourism provides a new way to achieve sustainable development of tourism.
