Urgently needed! ! Self-guided tour route from Hangzhou to Dunhuang~

Fly from Hangzhou to Dunhuang, which is more expensive

Or fly to Xi'an and transfer to a train, which is cheaper

Or go by train, which is cheaper but takes a long time

The train can go to Xi'an or Lanzhou and then transfer to Dunhuang.

Dunhuang is a small city and the public transportation system is not well developed. The two most practical lines are located on Mingshan Road in the city center (near Dunhuang Hotel). Three of them can go directly to Mingsha Mountain with a fare of 1 yuan. The bus from the city to the Mogao Grottoes departs from the Dunhuang Hotel at the intersection of Xiyu Road and goes to the Mogao Grottoes via the Silk Road Hotel and Dunhuang Railway Station. It starts at 8:30 in the morning and runs every 30 minutes. The fare is 8 yuan and returns to the city. The last bus from the district is at 6pm. If you miss the bus, you can also take the Dunhuang Academy shuttle bus.

It’s not expensive to rent a car, 10 yuan to Mingsha Mountain and 40 yuan to Mogao Grottoes. Dunhuang rentals basically take these routes, and the prices are generally fixed, so there is little chance of overselling customers. However, the asking price for long-distance rentals like the Western Route will be different, so remember to negotiate. When renting a car in Dunhuang, it is best to choose a five-star rental, as the service will be better. Meet a five-star taxi driver, Master Su: 13830745763.

The most indispensable thing in Dunhuang is hotels, but the prices are very expensive in the peak season, especially during the Golden Week. It is difficult to find temporary accommodation. Most of them are booked by travel agencies. Even the most ordinary guest houses can be rented for a few bucks. 100, don’t worry about no one living there. For self-guided travelers, remember to book in advance when visiting Dunhuang during the peak season, otherwise you may have to stay in the outskirts of Qili Town.

The youth hostel that has been anticipated for many years has finally opened in Dunhuang. It is said that three have opened this year. However, I only found Dunhuang Fengfeisha International Youth Hostel on the YHA official website, which is located in the Crescent Spring Scenic Area. I don’t know if I need to buy a ticket to stay in this hostel. I couldn't find the other two, and I couldn't find it on Wanli Road. Maybe the network update is lagging behind.
