The archway commemorates the damming of the Xin'an River Dam in 1959, and the 290,000 Chun'an immigrants who were born in 1959. *The construction of the Republic of China was built away from the hometown where our ancestors have lived and multiplied for generations.

Behind the archway is the last group of sculptures, which is the scene of Premier Zhou visiting Chun'an immigrants when the Xin'an River Reservoir was built in 1959.
