1. Banan Shengdeng Mountain

Snake Shedding its Shell: About 100 meters north of the Dengshan Checkerboard Stone, two huge stone sheds stand, one stone covers the top, blocking the way. There is a flat hole in the middle, which slopes down from south to north, is nearly 5 meters long, and has a slightly stepped bottom. This cave is the only way for tourists to view the scenery along the ridge. There is a vertical hole at the south end of the top. You must advance both feet and bend down to enter. The northern end of the cave is extremely narrow, with only a flat slit, only 0.2 meters wide, which can be used to stand upright, but can be squeezed out if the body is flattened and the abdomen is retracted. When it is difficult to get out, it is difficult for those who get out, and it is very interesting for the viewers to laugh. Iron Threshold: It is formed by a snake shedding its shell and heading north, with high rocks and thin ridges, less than 2 meters wide, and cliffs on both sides. After walking about 60 meters, the stone ridge was cut off. The gap was nearly 1 meter wide, 1.5 meters long and 2.5 meters deep. When I walked to the edge of the gap, I felt dizzy. This gap looks narrow, but it feels very wide when you want to cross it. You can only get across by mustering up the courage to jump. This is another difficulty on the way. Gouzuan Cave: It is more than 100 meters to the north of Dasheshen Rock. Several overlapping boulders block the road. There are cliffs in the east, west and north. The east and west cliffs are nearly 60 meters high. There is a narrow hole among several boulders that must be passed through. You cannot squat or stand in the cave, you can only move around with your hands. The right side of the exit is open to the sky, and all the squatting stones can be used to stand on. You can pass by holding on to the stone walls in the cave, touching the marks between the stone walls with your feet, and winding down. Because passing through this hole looks like a dog crawling, it is named Dog Drilling Hole.

Distance arrangement: If you go by bus, you can go to Banan first, and then take a minibus to Shengdeng Mountain. From Yudong to Shengdeng Mountain (the fare is about 10 yuan). Drive on the Chongqing-Guizhou Expressway to Yipin Town, Banan District, and then to Shengdeng Mountain via Tiaoshi Town (65 minutes’ drive).
