General situation of Sino-French Tourism College of Guangzhou University

The cooperation project provides four professional directions: hotel and catering management, exhibition and business tourism, travel agency management, tourism planning and scenic spot management. It is one of the colleges with the widest tourism coverage in China, among which exhibition and business tourism rank first in the country. The famous universities of Angers and Nice in France send professors and experts to the college for teaching and research every year. Students of this major can also obtain a French undergraduate diploma by passing the bachelor's examination organized by France, and some outstanding students can also study in France for one year.

The college pays special attention to French teaching, insists on using the latest foreign textbooks, and ensures that all classes are taught by China and French teachers. Now, French teaching has become one of the most distinctive features of China-France Tourism College. At present, each student in the Sino-French cooperation project has accumulated 8 10 French class hours in four years, and the scale of French teaching ranks first in domestic universities.

Through the international cooperation platform of China-France Tourism College, college teachers have gained valuable international exchange funding opportunities. In 2003, China-France Tourism College, together with four European universities, applied to the European Union for the "Asia Plan" with the main content of training teachers of tourism higher education and improving teachers' quality. With the support of international projects, among more than 500 participating universities, Guangzhou University and four universities in Europe successfully applied. Up to now, the school has sent 24 teachers to study in France, Italy and Spain, and 24 teachers from four European universities have come to Guangzhou to teach, and they have received a total of 370,000 euros from the European Union. Colleges with such a large area of teachers are very rare in domestic institutions. Since the establishment of the College, Guangzhou University has invested nearly 7 million yuan in teaching and laboratory construction. The French side is mainly responsible for the dispatch of French teachers and the input of some teaching materials in China-France Tourism College.
