1, Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple

The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple used to be the symbol of Nanzhao, and now it is also the landmark attraction of Dali. It is located at 1.5km northwest of the ancient city of Dali, facing Leying Peak in Cangshan in the west and Erhai Lake in the east, about 1500m away from the foot of the mountain. Taoxi flows 336 meters south and east. Meixi is 76 meters to the north and Yunnan-Tibet Highway to the east. These three towers consist of a big pavilion and two small pavilions.

The Great Buddha Pagoda, also known as Chihiro Pagoda, is called "Wenbi Pagoda" by local people, with a total height of 69.13m and a tower bottom of 9.9m, with a grade of 16. It is a typical square brick tower with dense eaves in Dali.

The South Tower and the North Tower are all ten-level, with a height of 42.17m, and are octagonal hollow brick towers with dense eaves. Three pagodas stand at their feet, Chihiro Pagoda is in the middle, and the second small pagoda is arched north and south.

2. Taihe City Site

Nanzhao Taihe City Site is located 7.5 kilometers south of the ancient city of Dali, at the foot of Hefeng in the west of Taihe Village, Xiaguan Town, Dali City. This is a city located on the hillside. The north and south city walls are about 500 meters apart, and there is a famous Nanzhao Dehua monument in the city.

Taihe City was originally established by Herman (Bai nationality). Taihe City was the capital of Nanzhao in the early days. At the top of the mountain, there are Jingangcheng, Heding Temple and Nanzhao Summer Palace on Jinsuo Island in Erhai Lake, which can be used for sightseeing.

The site of Taihe City in Nanzhao provides extremely important documents for studying the formation of Nanzhao, social system, the relationship between various ethnic groups in Yunnan and the relationship between Nanzhao and Tang and Tubo dynasties. The inscription "4 1" is an important material for studying the early stratum structure and official system of Nanzhao.

3. Dali Ancient City

Also known as Ye Yucheng and Zi Cheng. The history of the ancient city can be traced back to the Tianbao period of the Tang Dynasty, and the Yangcheng built by Luo Feng of Nanzhao Wang Ge is its new capital. The ancient city was built in the 15th year of Ming Hongwu (1382), covering an area of 3 square kilometers.

In the 500-year history of Tang and Song Dynasties, the ancient city of Dali was the political, economic and cultural center of Yunnan. There are four key cultural relics protection units 14 in the ancient city, which bear the historical culture, religious culture and national culture of Dali and are the core tourist areas of Dali.
