Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County belongs to Yichang City, Hubei Province, which is located in the southwest of Hubei Province, adjacent to the mainstream of the Yangtze River and Hunan Province. Its borders are Yidu City and Songzi City in the east, Shimen County in Hunan Province in the south, Hefeng County and Badong County in the west, Changyang Tujia Autonomous County in the north, 6 kilometers away from the Yangtze River Waterway Port and Zhicheng Railway Station, 8 kilometers away from Yihuang Expressway, Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway, National Highway 318 and Three Gorges Airport, and provincial highway 325 runs through the county. Mainly karst landform, with an average elevation of 11 meters, it is a mountainous county of ethnic minorities. Wufeng county covers an area of 2,372 square kilometers, including 288, mu of cultivated land.
