Shan, a provincial administrative region in People's Republic of China (PRC), is the capital of Taiyuan. Because it is located in the west of Taihang Mountain, east of Taihang Mountain, west and south of Luliang Mountain and Yellow River, north of the Great Wall, and bounded by Hebei, Henan, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia and other provinces, it is called Jin for short.
