After arriving at Suzhou Railway Station, take the shuttle bus directly from the train station square to Tongli. It runs every 20 minutes. The fare is 8 yuan and the journey takes 45 minutes. The taxi cost about 80 yuan.

Shanghai - Tongli

The transportation from Shanghai to Tongli is very convenient and there are many choices. You can choose to go directly by car, or you can go to Suzhou first and then transfer to Tongli.

1. Direct: Shanghai Hutai Road Passenger Terminal: There is a direct bus to Tongli at 1:30 pm every day.

Qingpu Bus Station: There are many buses to Tongli. The last bus back to Qingpu from Tongli Bus Station is around 16:00. In the urban area, you can take the Hu-Qing Line to Qingpu Bus Station.

2. Shanghai - Suzhou: Shanghai Hongqiao Airport: direct air-conditioned vehicle, 10:00-19:00, departing every hour, one and a half hours' journey.

Shanghai Bus Station (next to the train station): Directly to Suzhou South Bus Station. There is a bus every 15 minutes. The trip takes about 2 hours.

Nanjing-Tongli: You can take the express bus to Suzhou first. Nanjing Central Gate Bus Terminal: Departs every 30 minutes to Suzhou South Bus Station, and the journey takes 2 hours.

Hangzhou - Tongli: Hangzhou North Bus Station, there are direct buses to Tongli at 7:50, 10:40 and 13:20. You can also take the high-speed bus from Hangzhou East Bus Station to Suzhou first , runs every 30 minutes and the journey takes 2 hours.

Suzhou - Tongli: Suzhou South Bus Station: ten buses a day, departing from Liushui, 35-minute journey; Suzhou Wuxian Bus Station: one bus every 15 minutes, journey: 35 minutes. Suzhou Railway Station Square: every 20 minutes, journey time: 45 minutes.

Zhouzhuang-Tongli: There are two ways to go from Zhouzhuang to Tongli: land and water. For water routes, see Tongli Water Transport below.

Land: There is a minibus to Tongli by the bridge at the west end of Zhouzhuang, which can be reached in half an hour; about 300 meters further west from the Jubao Bridge at the west end of Zhouzhuang, there is a long-distance bus next to the highway. At the passing station, long-distance buses to Tongli pass here every half hour (usually there are no buses after five or six o'clock in the afternoon).

Self-driving

Tongli is 92 kilometers away from downtown Shanghai, 242 kilometers away from downtown Hangzhou, and 226 kilometers away from downtown Nanjing.

1. Via Shanghai-Qingping Highway 318 National Highway-Qingpu-Wujiang Lucu-Beishen-Jinjiaba-Tuncun-Tongli;

2. Via Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway , take the Suzhou East exit and go south to Tongli.

3. Pass the Shanghai-Hangzhou Expressway, exit at Jiaxing in the direction of Pingwang, and go 6 kilometers east to Songling via Provincial Highway 205 to Tongli

From Zhouzhuang to Tongli, you can take a waterway or take a luxury cruise ship (can seat 60 people).
