Confusion often occurs in theory and practice. As far as tourism culture is concerned, China's early concept of tourism culture is one-sided and general, which externalizes tourism culture; Later, it was emphasized that the core of tourism culture was tourists and tourism activities. China's tourism industry equates the culture of tourist objects with tourism culture, which is a misunderstanding of tourism culture. Most people use the concept of sum to define the new concept of tourism culture, and do not learn from the relevant research abroad, so the domestic research lags behind the international research. As far as cultural tourism is concerned, China regards cultural tourism as a type of tourism, which includes cultural colors and tourism products, folk tourism and tourists' understanding and yearning for foreign cultures. Through these understandings, we can see that there are some shortcomings in the research and understanding of cultural tourism in China at present, and there is almost no in-depth research, only staying in the development of cultural resources, and a series of systematic theoretical research has not been verified by practice. Sometimes, cultural tourism is often equated with tourism culture, and cultural tourism is regarded as the viewpoint and concept of designing products. In a broad sense, it emphasizes the cultural nature of tourism products, such as folk tourism. Obviously, such research results make cultural tourism more narrow, and there is no theoretical definition.
